Hey everybody! I have been on this site since last year, but never took it serious until last month. I would browse a couple of profiles and sign off. I went to my consultation with doctor Hedden today to discuss me getting a BA. I am stuck between 350-355ccs. I'm even thinking of going a little bigger. My surgery date is this upcoming Monday which is December 14th. I was extremely excited after my consult. Deciding what route to go as for my incision, is really getting to me. I definitely don't want to go under the arm. Right now I'm between tuba and the incision under the breast. Ladies please leave comments. I don't want to go to big or to small. I'm 5'6 weighing in at 140. HELP PLEASE!! ????

350-355cc would only be a difference of 5cc. Not much at all. I was wondering if that might have been a typo? I am 5'5" & wt 138. I had BA on October 9th & have 350cc round smooth memory gel Mentor silicone implants. I have under the muscle placement with inframammory (under breast) incision. It also depends on how much breast tissue you have. Let us know what you decide.

Looking at your pic I say you could easily go with the 375 as most wish 5he had gone bigger. Are you having saline or silicone? I think Dr Hedden is a very skilled PS.

High profile is the projection of the implant & round is it's shape. They also come in tear drop shape also. The PS makes the decision about this based on the measurements taken & what best suits us. I have moderate profile due to having a wide rib cage of 36. What type placement will you have? Over or under the muscle? Excited for you.

I had under the muscle. I would give Dr Hedden's office a call. I found it helpful to make a list of questions & concerns I had prior to surgery. I'm sure they would be glad to address your concerns. Let us know what you find out♡

I had mine done last Friday... I left it all to my fabulous surgeon. I showed pics of wish boobs and said I would like to be a a fully D, but more a DD. I am so happy!! I have had 525cc under, round Motiva silk surface. Leave it up to the experts :)

Even though I scheduled my appointment already I'm still undecided on to relieve tuba, incision under breast, or around the nipples. I am going to upload my wish pics so you guys can give me your opinion on what would best fit my body frame. I'm 5'6 140 and I'm debating between 350-375ccs. Don't want to be too top heavy.

good luck, i am hopeful for 375-425 cc range. My revision is in march or later so I havent discusses sizing with my ps yet. Im 5.6 too.

Since you mentioned the Tuba I'm guessing you are going saline? I used same people there at Hedden and I went with 450 saline. I obviously look a lot better lol but definitely would rather have silicone and a little bigger than what I got. The saline feels awful.

UR right about saline. I at first had saline as silicone wasn't available. Didn't care for the feel. Had revision with silicone. Love them.

I had motiva silicone implants (gummys) they feels so natural only 9 days post op. Defo wouldn't have got saline.

I think with your height and weight a 375 would look really nice on you and not too big. As long as the width of whatever implant you choose fits within your breast width diameter, it will be fine. I'm sure your surgeon is taking that into account, but it doesn't hurt to ask him if he hasn't already mentioned anything about measurements and what range of sizes would fit your measurements the best. I learned at my consultation that implant sizes are not a free-for-all in order to look your best and not be too much for your natural tissue to support. They really need to fit within your current body size. For example, the larger implants go, the wider they get, which could make your boobs too close together or into your armpits. You probably know that so I'm rambling. haha. Good luck!

Hi! I had my BA done by dr. Hedden five weeks ago. Dr. Hedden was very clear w me that he doesn't like doing under the arm pit incision. And as you know, if you have a TUBA procedure you have to have saline, not silicone. As the women above said, silicone feels better. I personally have my incision under my breast and I like it there. My incisions aren't scarred yet, but just in case they do become scarred or don't heal perfectly, they are hidden under your breast! But w a nipple incision any scarring or problems are upfront and center.
If you want saline implants I would DEFINITELY say do TUBA Bc a hidden scar is amazing! And if you're going for silicone I would definitely say under the breast so that you will have hidden scars. Good luck!

And I have my nipples pierced too... I couldn't imagine a nipple incision and having nipple piercings at the same time. Seems scary lol

Soooo NERVOUS... Today is my BIG day
I'm here at Hedden Plastic Surgery and I am so NERVOUS. I was unsure about the size so I'm going with 420ccs to be on safe side. Wish me luck!

Does your doctor suggest one method over the other? We'd love to see any wish boob pictures you may have collected. You might enjoy some additional support in the December 2015 breast augmentation surgery forum. Good luck and update us soon on the tuba or under breast incision decision.
