I am 3 weeks from a full tummy tuck and lift with augmentation. I've wanted this for such a long time and I'm excited but also nervous as the time approaches. I'm 39 and a mother of two. I had one c-section and then a vbac. I'm very active, exercise and run but nothing has changed my stomach. I am 5'3" and 130lbs.

keep up with the exercise. I have definitely been using my leg and lower back muscles post op. I got a tt and ba and my c sections were worse pain wise, but maybe it is because I do not have to take care of a baby and I am getting plenty of sleep, and I am on meds.

How long ago were your procedures?

I was told 4.5. I do not know how long it actually took, and I have not been billed for anything longer yet. As far as help, I am 5 days out and I could not even lift half a gallon of milk or a pan today. I can bend down and pick stuff up, as long it weighs nothing. I have a 4 1/2 and a 1 1/2 and I have care for them 24/7 because there is no way I could change a diaper or chase the youngest around. I am still bed bound, but I get out of bed to go downstairs to eat, go to the bathroom, do little things, but nothing really longer than 30 min.

I'm excited for you! Here's a list of supplies you might find handy for recovery. Have you decided what sort of implants you're getting?

Thank you for the info. I'm getting silicon, they were described as the "gummy bear" type.

Realistic recovery expectations

Realistically, how long should I expect to be in full recovery, in my bed? Also, how much help should I plan for?

I'm starting to freak out a little bit. I go back and forth between being excited and feeling guilty. I'm scared of the recovery and I'm scared something will happen during the surgery. My husband is amazing and tells me repeatedly everything will be fine.
I have a nurse staying with me for the first night. I'm staying in a hotel right beside my surgery center. Any suggestions as to what I should take with me, other than all my meds?
