Hi all, I've been wanting a tummy tuck basically since the year after my twins were born, it kept getting put off for different reasons but I'm finally doing it! It's all scheduled and paid for. I'm 9 days pre op today!
I gained a lot of weight after my girls were born (about 50 lbs)and finally almost 8 years later I've taken that 50 off and am at my pre pregnancy weight. I am about 30 lbs over my ideal weight but I have been for so long and I don't see that changing so I figured now is a good time.
I'm a little worried that I'm under preparing as I haven't bought anything yet! I'm kind of taking the attitude that I'll just wing it, lol...I do have a recliner and a bunch of pillows in case I want to sleep in bed.
I'm honestly not even sure how to prepare other than stock the house with food and give it a good cleaning.
My surgeon said he would provide a binder that I should wear for the first month or so, and I have help lined up for the first 12 days but after that I'm on my own!
Any suggestions would be helpful. I'll add photos in a few days.

Hi Katie, you'll be fine! I did not prepare much before my mommy makeover and it was all fine. At day 12 you'll be good to do your stuff around. I'm at day 14, and I can do everything like before ( no lifting anything over 5 pounds though). Best of luck, you will be so happy after!

Good to hear you're feeling good at 2 weeks! I'm hoping (more like expecting) to heal fast as well :)

I'm a little nervous about posting pictures for everyone to see but I also want to document this for myself to look back on. And I know how helpful the reviews with pictures have been for myself so here goes...

I had my final pre op appointment today. My surgery is very early Wednsday. Wish it was tomorrow, I'm so ready to get this over with! Here are my pics after being drawn all over with a sharpie, haha

Thank you for joining us. Â I am happy to hear that you are finally able to do this for yourself. Â Don't stress yourself out about prepping. Â If you have food in the house, medications and that recliner and plenty of pillows you will do well. Â And of course help for the first week is essential. Â
This is a perfect time of year to do this procedure. Â You are going to feel pretty good for summer. Â At least the worst part of recovery will be over.
You are welcome.
