WORTH IT

My eyelids were so heavy that it was an effort to keep my eyes opened wide. I had done Botox and it helped a bit, but with age my lids kept getting worse, so decided to have an eye lift. Interestingly, I didn't even realize how much effort I was putting in to keeping my eyes open until after I had the procedure. It is amazing and I am so happy with the results.

Dr. Patel had done a breast augmentation on me and I was thrilled with the results therefore I felt very comfortable about going to her for blepharoplasty. During my consultation she explained the procedure in great detail and gave me the option of having it done in the hospital or her office. Huge price difference having the procedure done in the office as no cost for room or anesthesia. I opted for the office. The thought of no anesthesia and being awake made me a bit nervous, but Dr. Patel has done hundreds in her office. She gave me a prescription for Valium, which I took a half hour before. This put me at ease when she had to give me Novocaine in my lids. After the shot of Novocaine, I didn't feel a thing.

Whoa, gorgeous results! I'm doing this tomorrow! I feel like I should be more nervous than I am. I'm doing in office, local as well. Planning to pop of my own Xanax a bit before surgery. Thank you so much for sharing. The difference is astounding. What a relief!

Angie, you will love no longer straining to keep your eyes open, especially at the end of the day. I will say that it took me about 8 months to get used to how my eyes look. Now I love them!

Good luck tomorrow

Wow they look great. Do you have botox. It look like your eye brows are up as well. I am asking because I am doing it in April and botox my eyes drop. Tried 3 time,s so if your brow are up from the surgery that would be great.

I do have Botox, but several years ago I went from lifeted brows to droopy brows as a result. The droopiness would only last a couple of weeks. The raised brows you see in the picture are from the lift.

Upper Blepharoplasty

I apologize, there as been some confusion as to what procedure I had. It was a blepharoplasty on my upper lids, which is also know as an eye lift, or eyelid surgery. I did not have a brow lift.

Although my lids were heavy, I was not a candidate to have it covered by insurance. If you are considering this procedure, have the eye exam done first. You may be able to have insurance cover it, and that would be awesome.
