Your review is one of the few I can find about chemical peels for the eyelid area - could you confirm that it was applied on the UPPER eyelid, and if so, how far down towards the lashes? I have been recommended an upper eyelid eyelid peel to help with old scarring and texture, but am hesitating because I can't believe it would have much effect. My (UK) surgeon says he does them a lot and he prefers them to lasers etc. You have inspired me - you look lovely, before and after (but maybe not so much during!).

It didn’t post my full reply for some reason. I had it applied to the upper eyelid area to just above the lash line. There is an 80% improvement in my scars but I still have to wait a few more weeks to see full results. The added bonus of a slight eye lift was very much welcomed! I would highly recommend it :)
Thank you so much for your quick reply. This is really encouraging for me. Was the eyelid peel a lower strength than the rest of the face? Your photos don't show much peeling or redness there, so I guess it wasn't too uncomfortable. I've admired Dr Taban's work here on realself, but Beverley Hills is a bit too far away for me.
I believe it was 35% on my face and then reduced to 20% for the eyelid area as I wanted it quite deep. The peeling around my upper eyelids came off all at once on the 4th day. I felt like a snake

Hi. Thanks for the great review! I’m considering a tca peel also and haven’t found a lot of really good before and after and detailed descriptions. Did you need to use retin A or anything prior to the peel? Was the cost $750 for each peel face, eyes, neck and chest? Your skin looks awesome Thanks again.
Thankyou! I was advised to cease use of retin A or anything containing salicylic acid a few weeks prior. $750 was the cost for face, neck, Eyelids and chest for my skin situation... Although I didn’t get as intensive peel on my Eyelids and chest the first time around :)

Thankyou so much :D I found my skin healed a lot faster/was less sensitive compared to other people I know that has had a TCA peel...and used exfoliating products prior (as that IS usually advised by some doctors)
Hey thinks for sharing just got my 20 tca in the mail ...so does it get rid of wrinkles under the eyes im 28 with crows feet and wanted to know if i can put it under them?
Hi, sorry I missed your message. Yes it got rid of lines and crows feet. But I think he used a lighter peel in the delicate eye area

Peel round 2

I wasn’t quite as vigilant in taking care of my skin due to a very hot summer this year and being an absolute lazy git ???? a few minor dark marks appeared, predominantly at one side of my mug from sitting in the car. This time around, I also had Doctor Taban apply peel around the eyelid area also to help soften a few old scars from previous eyelid surgery many years ago, (not his work) and perform a light peel on my neck and chest.
Here is before and day 1 of my 30 % TCA peel and a before shot.

I didn't quite take care of my skin during my late...

I didn't quite take care of my skin during my late teens and 20's. I was a heavy smoker, a tanning bed user, lived in sunny Florida and spent a lot of time at the beach.
I failed to use spf.. As a result of this my skin prematurely aged with dark sun spots, slight loss of elasticity and fine lines around my eyes.
After a wonderful experience with Dr. Taban for epicanthroplasty, I went to see him for a chemical peel.
The results are phenomenal!!! my skin looks like it did at 20, the discoloration and fine lines have completely vanished and I don't even need foundation.
As an added bonus, the peel over my eye area faded the scars from a previous blephroplasy many years ago!!!

Wow, amazing results, thank you for sharing! It's amazing how quickly the peeling happens! Are you planning to have more rounds of this procedure or did you achieve what you wanted with one?

I achieved what I wanted with the first one and pending me remembering to put spf on my skin.. I shouldn't need another one for a long time :)

TCA and medium from what I know.. I didn't ask the percentage but can find out from my doctor :)
please let us know the percentage. Was it an indented scar or just pigment change? Could you also let us know what you used while it was healing? Med sounds like a 30 percent but I'd like to know if he used a higher one. Thanks

For healing I used Vaseline and a course of antibiotics
Oh and pigment change, and a change to the scars on my eyelids.. Sadly no before pictures of them to show
