Hello realselfers, This may be a lengthy review but I just wanted to say I feel very blessed to have come across Dr. Taban. I previously had upper blepharoplasty done twice by a surgeon who had left me botched (please visit my profile to see whom I am referring to, pictures available) and my regrets, I should have gone to Dr. Taban. First of all, Dr. Taban is an oculoplastic surgeon who specializes in eyes, the biggest common mistake people make is going to someone who is NOT an oculoplastic surgeon when they are planning a procedure regarding their eyes. Sometime in the future I will probably be doing a third procedure for my upper lids but with dr taban. I'm in my early 20's and have been in the entertainment industry since I was a kid, I've also struggled with bad insomnia and it lead to fat bulges under my eyes which NO eye cream on the market or make up would cover it up, it was very visible and made me appear much older than I really am. There is a difference between fat bulges and hollowness underneath the eyes. I've had a consultation with Dr. Christopher zoumolan last year who is also in Beverly Hills, and he had told me he couldn't do ANYTHING about my eyes because I was too young. So I had waited a year and did tons of research, it turns out this procedure could be done on anyone at any age. I assume Dr. Z didn't have any confidence in himself with my eyes. I had transconjuntival lower blepharoplasty done with Dr. Taban on the morning of February 20th I'm now almost 3 weeks post op and I'm extremely satisfied with the results. Dr. Taban is very calm and straight forward, he will tell you the problem and what he can do to fix it. I definitely did not feel rushed like most doctor's offices. I had opted for the local anesthetic and I would highly recommend that instead of sedation or general anesthesia, you definitely don't feel a thing. What I find funny is that when I had upper blepharoplasty with another surgeon, i was under twilight sedation and I felt so much pain. But with local anesthesia with Dr. Taban I did not feel a thing, plus it went by super fast! That means he definitely knows what he's doing. I would highly recommend Dr. Taban when it comes to your eyes! I now wake up feeling and looking so refreshed, this procedure was definitely life changing for me. I no longer need to put on a lot of make up to draw the attention away from my eye bags, I now put on light concealer and off I go to start my day.
