Dr. Taban: genius at fixing lower eyelid complications

My lower eyelids were destroyed by a very prominent Great Neck plastic surgeon. I suffered severe lower eyelid retraction and bilateral ectropion due to his lack of good judgement in removing too much lower eyelid tissue. Stitches were removed way to early causing gaping wounds to open around my eyes. I was sent to the ER to be sewn up. Shortly afterward severe lower eyelid complications followed. . I was forced to tape my lower eyelids up day and night for 2 years while the original surgeon tried various ways to correct his bad work. I finally reached a point where I knew it would take a miracle to correct what had been done. After being told by various oculoplastic surgeons that there was nothing that could be done to correct the disaster, I flew out to Los Angeles to consult with Dr. Taban. To make a long story short Dr. Taban performed the impossible. Through internal lower eyelid incisions he was able to undermine so deeply down to my submalar area and around the orbit that he mobilized enough soft tissue to completely correct the deformity. Whats more the soft tissue has not retracted. It has remained where it was fixated which is a miraculous feat in itself, Even the best surgeons who elevate mid-face tissue often watch it slide right back down a month or two later. I can honestly say that I could and would have gone to any surgeon in the world to correct the mess, including the famous ones in Beverly Hills (and I know them personally), yet I dont think ANY of them could have done what Dr. Taban did. At this time I have no doubt that Dr. Taban is the #1 oculoplastic surgeon in the world because of the absolutely stunning work he did. My lower eyelid position is the best its ever been. I should also point out that Dr. Tabans aesthetic work around the eyes is also second to none. His use of thick Alloderm grafts has created stars eyes out of average eyes. Quite simply put, he is the best there is!
