2 monts post op
I can't believe it's been 2 months! Spent the last week in a swimsuit with my family. it was so nice to be able to be with the people I love and not feel so self conscious.
When I wake up my stomach is flat, and because I spent most of the day lying by the pool - I stayed pretty flat. But anytime I live my day like normal I always end up swollen at end of day.
I also have not begun to work out. I am so nervous about injuring myself. And I still get sore if I stretch. The workouts I loved pre-surgery were spinning. And my doctor hasn't cleared me for that yet. I miss the rush and release I got from the class and have not found a substitute.
seeing the doctor next week and am hoping to be able to spin soon.

Things are going well
Well - I can't believe the difference 6 weeks makes! Am still healing -- still swelling and sore at end of day, and scars are thin but red. Lying down for an hour makes a world of difference and am still waiting to get back to exercise. Wearing my CG ALL THE TIME!!! It makes me feel safe and comfortable. When I don't wear it I start to feel a pull at my hip to hip incision.
Almost 3 weeks post op
It's been hard to get to the computer and think clearly enough to update but I have been checking out everyone else. I have had swelling go down - except on my pubis. But I think that is at least in part because my binder is pushing stuff down. And I got out my last drain just 3 days ago. I have attached a picture I just took, taken laying down flat. I keep getting rashes from the adhesive around my scars. Steri-strips were awful, and my doctor switched to paper tape - which is a bit better. Not scheduled to go back to see my PS for two more weeks. Pain is minimal now, more discomfort than pain. But I still get really tired very easily.

Fantastic. Direct, honest, but also caring.
