Hello real selfers!! I have of course been stalking the site for a while and have FINALLY mustered up enough nerve to post. I will be having my surgery in a few weeks with Dr. Dass in Beverly Hills, Ca. I went to a couple of consultations prior to him but none of them were a good fit for me. One surgeon, who will remain nameless, was very aggressive and uninterested in my needs, and wants, as a patient. The second surgeon was nice, but he did not have the best reviews and his portfolio was unimpressive. But when I met Dr. Dass, he was so NICE, ATTENTIVE, and LISTENED to my wants and needs! I finally found the FIT that I needed. I am 36 yo, mother of 2, I am 5'4" 155 lbs (I have a muscular stature so in pounds I am heavy but people think I weigh in the 130's, I wear a size 7 in jeans to give you an idea of my visual size). I have stretch marks and loose skin on my stomach and love handles that I HATE! I will be having a tummy tuck, with liposuction of my love handles. My derriere is fairly large but I have two dents on the side that I want filled in, its not a BBL, it is what Dr. Dass is calling a fat transfer, so the fat he will remove from my love handles he will inject into my hip area to round me out, lol. I am soo nervous to have surgery, not really looking forward to the pain, but, I cant want to see the results! I am a Professor at a University, school will be closed for the holidays so I only have to take off an additional 2 weeks which will give me a total of a month off. Dr. Dass said I only need two weeks, but I am a Big Ole baby and I just can't imagine working after two weeks of such a major surgery!!! I am also an RN and I work occasionally in the Hospital setting, which requires me to do a lot of walking, bending, and standing so I can't imagine being physically able to do all of that in two weeks! Anyway, the count down begins!!!! I have included some HORRILE before pics, but I figured if everyone else can do it, I have to be bold enough, and considerate enough, to do it to! Please, any feedback, suggestions, recommendations will be GREATLY appreciated!

Hello beauties! I really have no idea what to purchase to be totally prepared for surgery. Do I need that pillow thing that people have been talking about? What about the female urinal? I've even read someone bought a toilet seat riser! Just the preparation phase has me even more nervous than the surgery at this point. Ladies? Also, u have included another pic which includes a clear pic of the love handles. I can't wait to see this snatched waist in 3 weeks!

My pre op appt went well!
Hourglass neededDecember 4, 2015
So my pre op appt was yesterday. Dr. Dass and Angela put my worries to rest as best they could. He provided me with a step by step guide of how to manage my pain, prevent infection and decrease all the potential risks that can happen with surgery. Because I am a registered nurse, I am pretty aware of what I need to do; however, because I see so many negative affects of surgery in the hospital setting, I think I just needed a little reassurance from him.
When I entered the office, of course the first thing was to get to business, PAYMENT PLEASE! Lol! After that Angela and I discussed my procedure my fears and just did a little girl talk. After that, I went into the exam room and undressed. I put on these little black surgery looking panties and bra, UGH! I was so grossed out looking at myself and having to show anyone, besides my man, this body! But, I had to do what I had to do... Dr. Dass entered the room and asked me questions regarding my expectations and letting me know exactly what he was going to do. He said I am giving him a great canvas to work with, I don't see how, but anywho... He then began to take pics having me turn in 45 degree increments. After that, we talked about everything, any questions and concerns were addressed. After my appointment I felt a huge weight lifted off of my shoulders. The main take away for me was, water, antibiotics, early mobility in small increments, pain management, and listening to my body. I told my man, my daughter (who will be home from college for winter break and will help out), my mom who is flying in from Chicago, and my sister to make sure I move, drink water, eat low sodium and high fiber foods, and take my medication. Now with all of them here to help me for 4 days, I should have passed the worst part, I HOPE!
I haven't even began to purchase anything, after my pre op appt, I am so glad I didn't because according the Dr. Dass and Angela, I will only need a fraction of the things I had on my list. I will post pics of my supplies once they are purchased. My surgery will be approximately 3 and half hours, Geesh that's a long time to be under but, I know God's got me! More to come in a few days.... Until then ladies.....
