Recently got back from 2nd session!

Amazing ! ! All I can say is what a genius. No surgery, no down time! We are going to wait and see if there is any need for a 3rd session, but maybe won't need it. Even the person I brought with me who always said they didn't see any big deal about my nose was amazed at how much better it looked. They said, "Oh wow!" That was a great feeling. Kinda like, I TOLD YOU SO! ;)

Thank you again, Dr. Kotler.

So I had a rhinoplasty about 12 years ago ( from different doctor). That doctor thinned out the bridge (yuck) and after a few years it collapsed on both sides and made the bridge even thinner and asymmetric. There was an indent here a twist here an indent there.. Hated it. Hated it so much. Then I read about non surgical injections with things like restylane. I went to a local doc and had it done in around 2007. I was over the moon. Then it went away.. no more moon :( Then I went back 2009 got more restylane... over the moon...again later no more moon. I wanted my moon to stay dang it!

I consulted with many plastic surgeons and dermatologists (and even a 'cosmetic surgeon' which turned out he was actually a dentist...) all over the east coast that "specialized" in silikon 1000 injections. All of them made me nervous and would not listen to what I had to say. They seemed rushed to get me either to do it or get out.

I hate hate flying, but this was my last hope. I had read for the last couple of years about Dr. Kotler. He really seemed like the absolute best, and that is what I wanted; the absolute best. This was my Hail Mary pass. I was lucky enough to be given the monetary opportunity to fly out to California and consult with the best!

Having read about him for a few years, it was to me like meeting a celebrity face to face. Really exciting and nervous feeling all at the same time. But WAIT! Here's the most important part: HE LISTENED TO ME! He did not rush me, and HE LISTENED TO ME! It was amazing. I couldn't believe it. I had gone to numerous less astounding doctors and they rushed me or told me no. This amazing world renowned doctor let me talk and point and hold a hand held mirror and LISTENED.

I did the saline test drive a day or so before so that we could be on the same page for when we went full on PERMANENT! He saw all the areas that I had concerns with, the ones the other doctors slightly scoffed at me about. And since the first day was saline, we could try out anything because it would go away in a few hours.

Over the MOON! Walking down Bedford and Rodeo drive I was looking into all the shop windows and mirrored displays, not to look at the beautiful items for sale, but to finally NOT to be sick to my stomach of what my nose looked like! But alas this would disappear in a few hours. But the next day would be the start of my journey to permanent satisfaction! I had asked approx. how many sessions to get the desired result and he said no more than 3! Omg. I couldn't believe that I would be 1/3 on my way to my awesome nose again. I am already scheduled my next appointment in a few months (you only need to wait 6 weeks in between, but I have to travel etc, so a few months is the soonest I could get back to Cali.

So now, the office is so cute and warm and inviting. I met Lauren who was soooo bubbly and fresh and happy. Even over hearing her on the phone with other potential patients, she was so empathetic and sweet. Wonderful person and employee and it turns out we are from the same town on the East Coast! Mary was doctor's right hand Nurse/Surgical assistant. (I hope not I'm getting her title wrong, if it is higher than that I mean no disrespect!) She got me in and numbed for my first day to permanent over the moon status.

I could go on and on, but I feel like I'm taking up too much time! I will put up pictures when I get a chance. But seriously, if you were thinking about going permanent, this is THE amazing man to go to. If you are in the slightest bit suffering from a bad rhino, or one that changed over time from injury do NOT hesitate to go see Dr. Kotler.

I hope I didn't forget anything. I will update or add to my journey when I get back from my next appointment in a few months. Oh, plus the relative cost and down time are amazing. I had talked to one surgeon who wanted to charge SIXTEEN THOUSAND DOLLARS for a revision, and he WOULD NOT even listen to what I was aiming for in the results department and wanted to make my nose even thinner and longer. YUCK!!!

THANK YOU DOCTOR KOTLER! THANK YOU TO HIS STAFF!!!
