WORTH IT$12,500
I had been wanting to get a Septoplasty for a very long time. I finally was in a financial position to get one.
The surgery took over 5 hours and there was a week of recovery time that I spent home from work. The recovery for the surgery was a bit harder than I was expecting. The swelling and bruising covered my entire face for about two weeks.
I didn't feel very much pain after the surgery. I took some pain killers to help with the headaches and pressure.
The worst part of the recovery was not being able to breathe through my nose. During the night I would wake up with my mouth as dry as a desert and my throat on fire.
The procedure was definitely worth it. I can breathe better and aesthetically I love the way my nose looks.
The results after 19 days are amazing and I am so excited for the end result!

Hi Eva, thank you! I had a humidifier that helped a little bit but cough drops were the real savior.

Hi, i also have a deviated septum and have been looking into rhinoplasty, but believe septoplasty is much for cost efficient. I have been told though septoplasty does not provide a physical alteration is this true? Your help is much appreciated and also how much you spent roughly :)

I wonder, did You want Your nostrils to stay so much visible from the sides? I am really not trying to mean just wonder if that doctor didn't know how to fix it or You just simply like that look?

I think there's a better way you could have asked that question. Please try to keep in mind in the future how incredibly personal it is to post your face online and allow people to comment on it before you post.
My doctor was keeping my nose as natural looking as possible. Changing the nostrils anymore could have made the whole thing look out of place.

Thanks for respond. Well posting Your pictures online and expecting comments You have to be aware that You will be judged and You will also get some honest feedback that sometimes can be completely different with Your point of view because everyone like something else. Sorry if I ofended You but I personally think fixing them would still look very natural but simply different. So You are right, it would change the look of the nose too much, if that's what You wanted to avoid.

I understand that posting images will inherently draw some judgement. However, most people that I've encountered use this platform to get ideas for their own personal procedures and ask me questions to understand what can be done for them verses telling me what they think can be "fixed" for me. There's just a different way I think commenting on this particular social platform should be done. Just a difference of opinion.

How You know I wasn't asking what can be done for me underneath that question? I am having my rhino soon and I am debating to fixing my nostrils. Anyway, good luck :).

I think your comment is very rude and mean. Just because someone posts their photo online doesn't mean you can be unkind. Her photo is not there for you to pick apart her face and criticize what you don't like. It hurts people. It makes you looks like a person who doesn't care for the feelings of others. There is nothing to "fix" on a face unless the person decides to. The girl who posted this is gorgeous and had a great nose and has a great nose now too. Noses come in all shapes and sizes, with smaller or bigger nostrils.

I think you look fab! I am debating my nostrils as well... doctor says no and I'm on the fence. Do not want to look overdone! So let me ask you... are you happy with your nostrils? I think it gives your nose character but just curious if you have any regrets. Again, just trying to gather info for my nose personally:)

Thank you!
I would trust your doctor on what he thinks is possible and what will look natural. I am happy with my nostrils. Compared to what they were it is now significantly better. I didn't ever expect that they wouldn't show from the side. I have no regrets. I am very happy with the way it turned out.

Such awesome news!! Love when patients are happy:) I'm actually going on for a minor revision... need a graft and a columella tuck. Was just really trying to decide on the nostrils as well as I feel this is my last chance!! Maybe I should post pics:) congrats on your outcome... so so natural!

You look fantastic, your surgeon straightened out your nose and did a fab job. Congrats.

Your results really are amazing, very natural looking too! I think almost everyone says the worst part of recovery is not being able to breathe through their nose, what did you do to remedy your dry throat?
Good old cough drops! ;)
