Rhinoplasty with Dr. Kotler - Beverly Hills, CA

I have always been bothered with my nose. It affected me to the point where it would dictate what I would wear, what places I would go to, how I would style my hair, and where I would sit in order to disguise the profile of my nose. I constantly thought how much happier I would be if I could just fix my nose. However, for a couple years I hesitated to get rhinoplasty because I was worried about other people noticing that I would look different. However, this summer (2013) presented an opportune time for the surgery. I was studying all summer at home for the MCAT and did not go out much or see anybody. Thus, I began a search for the best plastic surgeons. I came across Dr. Kotler’s website via a google search. After reading about his outstanding credentials and looking at the before and after pictures, I was convinced that Dr. Kotler was the surgeon to go to. I was looking for a surgeon who specializes in facial reconstructive surgery and who has done a numerous amount of rhinoplasties. I wanted to be confident that I was going to the best surgeon; after all, your face is not something that you want to take lightly. I called the office and was given a consultation in such a short time. The office staff is very nice and caring when I arrived for the consultation. I then met Dr. Kotler. After talking to him for just a few minutes, I was confident that he would be the surgeon to go with. He is the nicest doctor I have ever spoke to. He is very caring and understood exactly what changes I desired in my nose. What truly convinced me was his confidence with rhinoplasty. He made me feel very secure and reassured me with his ease and knowledge. I loved how content and happy he is with his life; which is why he is such a great surgeon.
The staff accommodated my tight schedule and scheduled the surgery for me within 10 days from the consultation. I wanted to do the surgery before the MCAT. This worked out perfectly because after the surgery I was at home anyways and was able to heal and study at the same time! By the time I took the MCAT and then started school, I could be seen in public. What surprised and pleased me most is that many of my close family and friends could not figure out what looked different about me. They would ask me if I got a hair cut or lost weight, but they were not able to pinpoint that I had rhinoplasty done. This is a result of Dr. Kotler’s art. He made my nose looks very natural, which is exactly what I was looking for. Not every surgeon has the skill to achieve natural looking results. I am very happy with my nose now and I feel much more confident everyday.
The surgery day itself flowed very smoothly. Anesthesia works wonders! All I remember was waking up after surgery feeling completely fine. I was always worried if I would be in pain during or after rhinoplasty, but I was feeling great. I was able to start studying the next day.
I am still going to follow up visits. Every time I see Dr. Kotler, he treats me like his own daughter. He gives me advice and is very caring. He also makes sure that I am happy with the result and answers any questions I have about the healing process. I hope that one day when I become a doctor I could be as caring and skilled as Dr. Kotler. Thank you so much for everything Dr. Kotler! :)
