After a lower transconjuntival bleph (with a general plastic surgeon) left my right lower eyelid retracted, I spent years trying to find a safe way to look normal again. Some things I've learned; a) never, trust eye surgery to anyone other than a specialist b) when considering any kind of surgery, make sure the surgeon that you consult with is the one that actually performs the surgery while you are asleep c) avoid surgeons that use the same approach to all cases.
After lots of research, I went into Dr. Massry's office asking for revision surgery, but he recommended a more conservative/predictable approach with filler instead. He said he would do the surgery, but for what I was asking he prefers to reserve for cases more serious than mine. He said there is a chance in my case that my lid position could resolve itself with the stretching of the filler over a few years. I agreed to come in for the office procedure, it was painless. I cannot be any happier with the result and I feel I have found (finally) someone I can trust!
