For all my life, I have been teased and bullied because of my flat and wide asian nose. I have never considered rhinoplasty before because I didn't want anything foreign like silicone or goretex to be put on my face. I am not against it or anything, I just do not want it on my face or body. Not until I found Dr. Yoo. The moment I found his profile, saw before and after photos, I knew the surgery was for me.

At first I thought he was very snob. However, when I met him in person, he was very nice. He explained everything to my husband and I making sure that we understood everything - before and after, pre and post care, etc. The day of the surgery, he met with me again and drew on my face. Explained what he will do on my nose, rib, and ear cartilage. Made sure that I was comfortable and asked if I am ready. He has excellent bedside manner. I had cold that day and I was worried it will affect the surgery. He told me it will be fine. He reassured me multiple times that it will all be okay because I was very nervous. Overall, the experience was top notch. Everyone in the office was nice and very friendly. Although, the receptionists are a little forgetful. I requested documents emailed to me - like Doctor's note for my copy just in case airport security will ask me about my appearance. They said they will send it to me later but never gotten anything from them. Anyway, I did not get questioned or anything so it's still fine. If in the future, I need anything else done, I will still go back to Dr. Yoo.

I had the same procedure done three months ago and my nose is very swollen, red and wider. How about yours?
Hello shelleyzha! I just passed my 3 month mark. I went back to Beverly Hills for my 3rd month post op. Dr. Yoo said my nose is about 60% healed. However, he did mentioned that my nose is still swollen and that the tip and the bridge will still go down probably 1~mm more. I have developed some spider veins on my bridge though which makes it red all the time. He recommended to get the veins lasered to diminish them faster.
Sometimes, when I look at myself in the mirror, I feel like my nose is wider, rounder, and more swollen. I have been asking my husband the same thing too. "Is my nose bigger? Wider? Crooked?" I think that is normal. I also noticed a little bump on the bridge but I think that is because of the swelling. One side of the bridge is more swollen than the other too. Still waiting for it to subside. :) If your nose is very swollen, maybe schedule a skype consultation with him if you are not in CA? Also, make sure to stay out of the sun. I find my tip very swollen every time I go out in the sun too much.
Thanks MrsPJ. I have scheduled a Skype appointment with Dr.Yoo in two weeks. Hopefully I don't have to fly to LA for treatment. My nose was very good at one month mark (only a little bit of swollen on the tip) and I thought i would see the final result at no time. About two weeks ago, my nose started to get bigger every day and return red on the bridge and tip. this is the first time I saw my nose so swollen after surgery. I was not expected to have inflammation 6 weeks post op. I have no pain or other discomfort so I know it is not infaction. I guess everyone recovers from rhynoplasty differently. Thanks for the advise on aviod sun and I am wondering if the swollen has anything to do with working in the yard. Best wishes in your recovery.

I had a primary rhinoplasty with rib cartilage and DCF. The surgery cost is $17300 + about $1000 for the 1 day hospital care.

Hi, yes. The bridge is now slimmer and way smaller than before. I am noticing the width of my nostrils a lot now though and they look big for my nose. I will be having a consultation with him in a couple of weeks to see what he would recommend.
I am planning to go for surgery with doctor yoo. How is your nose now in May 2018?
Hello, my nose looks smaller and the bridge is definitely slimmer now compare before. Although I am noticing my nostrils a lot more now because the swelling on the tip is now gone. I am having another consultation with him again for my alars and will see what he says.
