I had a turkey neck and beginning jowls forming. My face and skin are youthful so from the front I looked late 30's, early 40's - from the side I looked at least 55. Worse than looking old it looked sloppy and inelegant. I wanted to make my neck match my face and to look - not younger, per se, but great. I want to be an attractive woman no matter what my age. AND I wanted to be able to wear mhy hair up again!

Because of my neck, I have never felt pretty wearing my hair up. Like you, I look nice forward face, but from a side view, the neck is too much. You have inspired me. Thank you!

I'm so glad! My neck bugged me for years, but I was so scared of a bad outcome - but the surgery went so smoothly and the results have changed my life - given me 10 more years to feel confident. And I LOVE wearing my hair up now!! Just be super picky about your surgeon, get recommendations (I did) - go with one who ONLY does faces. It really matters.

I wanted to add some pics - I should have put a bar across my eyes, dont exactly want the world knowing, but then again I have lurked on this site for 3 years, gathering info from all of you remarkable and generous women, so I felt I should return the favor. I did this because I am 57, in an ugly divorce with an ugly man, and understand that I will be better able to take care of myself and do better on the job market if I look my best.

Stress certainly is aging. Try yoga an deep breathing excercises. I used to be on anti anxiety meds til learned deep meditational breathing. Really helped to tone my central nervous system. Looking great an very natural. Hang in there.

Thank you- its a scary process. I Was terrified something woulg go wrong, that i would look unnatural , or that it wouldnt work. This proceedure is an emotional process as well. Thank you for the suggestion
