After 3 kids--2of them twins, all breast fed, I decided to workout even though I was told by my doctor no amount of working out would get rid of my mummy tummy. Alas, she was totally right, and I scheduled consults with three PS's. Dr. Bruno was the first consult and I knew I wanted to go with him from the start. But it took me over 2 years of going back and forth with myself (it's so expensive, now's not a good time, etc) before my husband said, "Honey, you've been complaining about this for three years. Jus schedule the surgery and we'll figure it out." So I did. Went in for a pre-op visit /updated consult a week after making the call and two weeks later, here I am about to go to sleep after my surgery. The first day we pretty great. Me in the recliner with muscle milk and the TV and my wonderful husband helping me to and from the bathroom about once a end of shoe credit roll. My stomach feels super stretched but my breasts just feel like that time I accidentally walked into a wall (long story -- but I'm not an escaped romcom heroine, I swear). Mostly I'm just happy that I did the werewolf workout (Evolution) followed up by the Strong Curves. Back muscles and glutes for the win--and for going to the bathroom hourly. Way better than my C-section recovery so far. Now I'm just waiting to poop and to see the results. Waiting til Monday when I go in for post-op appointment. Hopefully can post more pics then

Feeling great! Back to work (slowly)

twinmommymakeover
So sorry for all the typos in my first entry. Sadly can't figure out how to edit it. Driving me crazy...but other than that things are going great.

Stopped taking serious pain meds day 2 and this morning just had 2 Tylenol. Also pooped with no drama whatsoever early on Day 4 and Day 5. Never been a morning popper before but I'll take it!

Feel like I'm way better but dying to get back to the gym and not just sit around all day.

Luckily I work from home, so I was able to get back to it today. Working on a few projects on my laptop and by hand. I also threw together a quiche for the family, and that took a lot out of me. Tuckered at the end of the day, but not completely wiped, so it's coming along.

I really want the drains out, though. Can't wait for Friday. More pics then, but meanwhile here are some photos from Day 4 after my first post on appointment. Swollen but super happy with the results. Until day 4 I was concerned I'd gone too small, but after the big reveal, it looks like I definitely didn't.

Mostly I'm just happy I did so much strength training before the surgery. That was totally for general health, not recovery, but having strong glutes, back, and arms has definitely been a super recovery benefit if you're interested in exercises to do before your surgery. Okay, will post again on Friday!

Are you satisfied with you results?

I really love my results! Planning to update this week!

Hello i have a fibrillation Thursday with Dr Bruno and my body looks like your before body. What size was your breast before and what size are they now? What size implant did you get? Were you coveted that he did not do a lift? You look great. Do you still live your results?
August 23, 2017
Omg consultation not fibrillation lol this autocorrect is so frustrating also were you concerned about not getting a breast lift with your augmentation? Do you still love your results?

I was just asking myself what a fibrillation was! Lol! I went with what Marisol suggested after I told her what I wanted and at first thought I went too small. But now that I've had a few months with the girls, I know her advice was spot on. I can't remember the size we decided on, but I would suggest letting them know your expectations for life after when your looking at different sizes. I wanted to still be able to easily strength train, run, swim--you know be active, so this size is perfect for me. Though I did have to invest in stronger exercise bras. Also, you have to be careful, because if you're too skinny or don't have broad shoulders, they can look very fake. I went in thinking--oh wait this is the perfect size for me, but I really did need to talk it over with M and look at the different options under a t-shirt in order to make the decision for myself. He did the lift, and I needed it. Really happy with how they've settled. Fun story: went to a topless pool and one woman joked with me about all the fake boobs. I had to tell her mine were fake, too! So definitely the right size and shape. I'm about a size 34D in Victoria Secrets now--but I mostly wear exercise bras and bras without underwires now.

Thanks for these questions. It reminded me I'm way overdue for an update post.

Yes i was rushing on that first post lol. But im scheduled for the 25th tummy tuck breast lift with implant. I'm also very active and strength train 3x a week. Did you lose alot of muscle during your recovery period? Im scared of losing my curves on butt and thighs because it's all muscle lol
September 3, 2017
I lost like 7 pounds during my recovery period and I wasn't happy because I knew it was muscle. And it takes a while to get cleared to weight train. I had my operation in late October and was cleared for weights in early January. But was cleared for low impact cardio pretty fast--like 4-6 weeks. And I did a lot of high incline walking on the treadmill. The good news is that my body came back better than ever after like a month of working out. If you eat pretty healthy during your down time, you should be fine. It takes longer than your recovery period to lose a ton of muscle. The biggest pain honestly is that I look great now and my clothes fit even when I gain weight, so the temptation to eat poorly is a huge thing now my stomach doesn't poof out. Luckily, I exercise to keep my mood stabilized, so that mitigates it.

Omg thats good to hear because we are human and will eat bad from time to time but as long as fitness is your lifestyle you will never fall off. I'm so excited about my surgery because besides the hernia u look and sound just like me and my story. I can't wait to read your update story and see your pictures.....hurry miss lady. Lol. I wanna see how you healed and how flat you are now. did he use dissolvable stiches on your muscle repair? What did you use for your scar therapy ? Im looking into biocorneum and embrace sheets.

10 Months Later. So happy!!!

twinmommymakeover
10 months later, I'm really happy with the results and have no regrets whatsoever about doing this.
Pros:
I feel loads more confident and at ease in my clothes.
Wearing bikinis again has been awesome! No more anxiety at the pool.
Bloating is a thing now, more than ever. I feel and see it clearly when I overeat.
Weight gain feels super obvious--even if you look fine in the mirror. I don't let it go unchecked for months anymore. 2-3 weeks tops and I'm back to working out. Have never been this consistent.
Really feel a responsibility to myself and my family to keep my body healthy and strong after dropping five figures on this procedure. Bring on the vegetables (even though I hate them).
Dr. Bruno and Giselle and Marisol are great with follow up. They're low pressure and just really sweet. Am so grateful to them.
Cons:
I feel guilty when other moms compliment my physique or compare themselves to me. I have told way too many strangers that I've had plastic surgery because I don't want them to feel bad.
The line is fading and I know it will eventually go away, but it's a little weird at massage, doctor, and waxing appointments. You have to get very comfortable with random people knowing you've had a tuck. And I'm tempted to get a tattoo to cover it.
For various reasons, pull ups are harder with fake breasts. I've also had to invest in way better exercise bras.
The temptation to do more fixing is huge. I keep wondering if I should start dermafillers, so that my face will match my body, and I imagine that feeling will only get worse as I get older. But I live in LA and see horror stories all the time, so hopefully, that will keep me off the addiction to procedures path.
I had to get a new hairstyle and throw a bunch of favorite clothes, dresses, and outfits away. Things and styles that used to look good on me just don't anymore. I'm still working on updating my style to match my new body and I'm pretty time crunched so shopping is a major inconvenience.

I am not sure if this was your last post or if you’ve posted more pics of yourself. I have a bit of a hard time with the app. I just had my surgery done three days ago so I still can’t walk upright. You look amazing by the way and scar looks great. When I look at my body it looks like Frankenstein’s but I am hopeful that my scar will eventually look like yours. Now is your time to shine and give yourself plenty of love because you look fabulous! If you get a tattoo don’t get one to cover up the scar you will end up covering your wonderful looking tummy (just my opinion). Enjoy your shopping!
