"Life Changing" Promises Gone Bad - Beverly Hills, CA

I was diagnosed with Lipedema in June 2014. I met Dr. Amron at a Lipedema Conference in Washington DC and discussed surgical options with him. I flew from Minnesota to California in October 2014 and had liposuction in my arms (upper and lower), thighs and lower legs in October 2014 with Dr. Amron. The surgeries themselves were excruciating as I was only given a valium pill and no pain medication during the procedure when I asked for it several times as I was crying and never received it. In addition, it was freezing cold in the operating room and my teeth were literally chattering during each surgery. Not once did I get a follow up call during the 10 days stay from Dr. Amron or his nurse and still have not heard one word to this day. Dr. Amron told me that this was going to be "life changing" surgeries and to give it 12 plus months before I would see results. The pain is back in my legs stronger than ever and my uneven thigh liposuction has actually increased my pant size from before the surgeries! My upper and lower arms never saw any reduction and now my ankles are still swelling even though I wear continual compression. I am a very active person and followed the post surgery recommendations which I was assured would receive optimal surgical results. I spent over $30,000 in surgery costs and travel expenses and am regretting spending that money every day as my Lipedema pain is stronger than ever and a lot of empty promises were made by Dr. Amron with a lot of money spent and no positive results.

Anyone having trouble with Dr Amron's insurance re-imbursements (ie keeping insurance $ after paying in full up front?)

I just had the same experience with Dr Amron. Two weeks post-op and my legs are on fire. If the member who posted this review is still on realself, I would like to know whether she ever recovered from her surgery.
