WORTH IT$750
First time having a lip augmentation. I had only been self-conscious about my small lips. I finally made a decision to try a lip filler, saved up and did my research online to find a dr. In my search, it was important to find a someone who would be gentle, and not bruise my lips. Also wanted someone who would be artistic in his work. I felt confident in Dr.Shemirani, and was certain this would be the right person.
The process itself went perfectly, I had little to no anxiety upon arriving. Felt even more at ease thanks to the wonderful staff. I had one syringe of Juvederm injected, pain free for most part. The swelling lasted around two weeks total. I had zero bruising. I was out and about the same day of procedure, as well as the following day. I didnt have any excessive swelling, no need to hide at home. I was very careful to ice my lips a lot over the next two days after procedure. I would say I was very happy around the 3 week post-procedure mark. But the Juvederm ultimately did not last long. Now at 40 days after my lip injection, my lips have returned to their natural state. Looking back I tried to figure out why the rapid loss. Perhaps I iced it too much? Too much cardio? Daily use of straws? My healthy diet? Or simply because it was my first time? Was the product injected incorrectly ? Perhaps it was the product itself? I have no idea but it was dissapointing to have paid $750 for only 40 days of fullness. I'm not sure if I will try Juvederm again but I will keep researching, and maybe look into a different solution for my thin lips.
But I dont want to discourage anyone from trying a lip augmentation with Dr.Shemirani, as he was very professional, and a perfectionist. Its just Juvederm may not work for everyone.

Sometime in May, I had my lips injected again. The cost was covered, since the original injection lasted such a short time. I would say my lips went an extra month on the 2nd attempt. So I will likely try this once more as I do LOVE how my lips look filled with Juvederm.

Thanks for sharing! I remember when I had one syringe put into my lips my doctor said not to exercise the first few days because that would cause it work its way out of my body faster. It ended up lasting over a year for me. I'm sorry about 40 days. That is truly not enough time! And 750 dollars is nothing to sneeze at either! Will you try a different filler?
