I feel fortunate to have found Dr. Jennifer...

I feel fortunate to have found Dr. Jennifer Adhout, MD, Director of Dermatology at Spalding Plastic Surgery in Beverly Hills. She was referred to me by my eye surgeon after I had eyelifts on both top and bottom and ptosis repair, and I complained about small bumps around my eyes and remaining little wrinkles post-surgery.
Dr. Adhout is a personable and caring MD—truly a beautiful person inside and out. She is part of a successful cosmetic surgery practice with Paul Nassif, a facial plastic and reconstructive surgeon and David Amron, an expert in liposculpture and cosmetic dermatology. These doctors have treated so many stars/famous people that they are often on TV doing makeovers.
Dr. Adhout has an impressive educational and training background. She graduated summa [RS bleep] laude and Phi Beta Kappa from UCLA and her medical degree is also from UCLA where her MD degree was Alpha Omega Alpha honors, the highest level of recognition for excellence in scholarship and ideals in the profession of medicine.
Following an internship at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in medicine, Dr. Ahdout completed her residency in Dermatology at the University of California, Irvine where she served as the chief of volunteer and satellite clinics. Dr Ahdout has conducted research on psoriasis, including the modifiable lifestyle factors associated with metabolic syndrome in this population. She has co-authored a noteworthy paper in the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology on the pivotal role of topical and oral vitamins in photoaging. She also has an interest in hair loss and has authored a paper on a unique pattern of alopecia related to hair styling practices as well as a hair chapter in a prominent Dermatology textbook.
The first time that I went to see Dr. Adhout, she explained to me about her simple 4 step approach to the face: relaxation, repositioning, recontouring, and resurfacing. Also she explained to me that there are two types of lasers: (1) a CO2 fractional laser that is more costly with a 7-10 day down time but requires only one laser treatment OR (2) 3-4 treatments of a less invasive laser that costs less with only a 3 day down time. Although she said the end result was the same, I opted for the CO2 laser because I had the time to recuperate and I honestly wanted the best that technology offers.
After I had laser restructuring on my entire face she took time putting cold compresses on my face and assuring me that all went well and after the 7-10 days of healing, I would look great. She called me later in the evening after my surgery to see how I was doing. Though I was anxious and stressed to have the laser, Dr. Adhout was patient and clearly and thoroughly answered all my questions. As further evidence of her kind nature, she hugged me goodbye after my first visit to her.
I highly recommend Dr. Adhout and feel so lucky that I found her.
