Phenomenal Abdominal Smart Lipo - Beverly Hills, CA

Bottom line Review from a Surgeon who underwent abdominal smart lipo by Dr Emer
Phenomenal result, excellent 2 months out
I had previous smart liposuction surgery approx. 2 years ago by another surgeon for a “large” abdominal pouch that some men get with stress and too much Italian food!! (I am 60 years old). The first time by another surgeon I had a good result but it did not result in a full correction and the correction regressed about 20% since surgery
I met Dr Emer at a course that I was lecturing at last summer. I very much appreciated his personality, the passion, his surgical technique, surgical logic, willingness to be more aggressive when needed, and excellent previous training.
The preop was excellent. I was only hoping for another 20% correction if that was possible. The previous surgeon mentioned that additional surgery was not possible. Dr Emer thought he could give me an additional 80% correction or more as he is an aggressive surgeon when required. Needless to say this possibility thrilled me
However, I thought this might be too good to be true but wanted to attempt surgical correction one more time for myself and for my wife….
I also have a history of keloids ie poor wound healing. Dr Emer mentioned his incisions are much lower than usual with smaller cannulas, so less chance of scarring which pleased me no end.
The actual operation was quickly done and without much discomfort under local anesthesia. I also asked for 1/2 of the pain meds as I am sensitive to medications, The actual surgical experience was better than a visit to the dentist, not bad at all
An unexpectedly large amount of fibrous fat was removed this time and deep scarring broken up which was a very welcome surprise.
Dr Emer was there post operatively to double check the dressing and compression garments and gave me his personal cell phone. He checked with me that night and the next day. I saw him approx. 4 days later in the office and flew out the next day across country
My total pain discomfort required only one Tylenol after surgery and another one the next day. Nothing else
And yes my pain threshold is not high. So a few Tylenol meant that there really was minimal discomfort. I was given Tylenol with codeine but did not take any.
Over the following months, the results continued to improve. I lost approx. 2 inches on the waist line. ie 38 to 36 or less
And this time the incisions were minute and healed without any noticeable scarring. A major accomplishment
I had such a phenomenal result that I am thinking of some external laser to give additional 6 pack muscle definition representative of a 20 year old body versus a 60 year old to further polish the result ie icing on the cake
Needless to say I have been exercising for the past year and I believe that this also helped.
I will recommend all my lipo patients to Dr Emer Even if you have to fly to see him the trip is well worth it.
