First off, I want to say that I had been thinking about having plastic surgery for quite some time. I was referred to Dr. Bruno by a wonderful friend who had work performed by him so I was able to see the outcome of his work and I loved it. My biggest concern was being African American and having skin prone to keloids. Since ANY surgery can be scary, I had so many questions. I must have called Marisol a thousand times with questions and she never became frustrated with me. As scary as I was, I kept thinking of roadblocks that would prevent me from going any further. So I decided to ask Marisol to see if I qualified for credit, and what do you know, I did and Marisol did everything for me right over the phone! At this point, I couldn't turn down a consultation. The day of my consultation I finally met Dr. Bruno and he was very pleasant. His overall demeanor was very calm and it was if I was his only concern at the time. He did not make lucrative promises nor did he seem forceful. At that time, Marisol came in and I tried on a few sizes and my husband and I determined I would go with Silicone implants. I received my estimate and I was on my way. I went to see several other very prestigious Dr's and I must say they were pushy, rude, and prices were astronomical. Hence, I returned to Dr. Bruno. Fast forward to the 2 weeks leading up to surgery. I am a huge BABY when it comes to needles. Yes I DO NOT like being poked. So when I had to get blood work done I was terrified. However, the center Marisol sent me to they were EXCELLENT! I experienced no pain with my blood work. On the day of surgery, I arrived at the center at 6am and began my process and boy was I nervous! It was time for the IV and I kept thinking if she hurts me that will be my excuse to leave. Well she numbed my arm first and I felt absolutely NO PAIN! Next, in came Dr. Bruno. We went over a few things he took pics, made markings, and I was unsure of my CC size still. But no attitude from Dr. Bruno. After surgery, I was up walking around and talking and I labeled my pain at a 4/10. Wasn't really pain just uncomfortable. Dr. Bruno called to check on me and the office also sent me an Edible Arrangement! 2 weeks later drain tubes removed again no pain a little uncomfortable though similar to menstrual cramps for a few minutes then its gone. Dr. Bruno is a true expert at what he does and his bedside manner goes a long way.
As for my results, my breasts are BEAUTIFUL! I received incisions in the breast crease that have healed very well. As for my tummy tuck, its PHENOMENAL! My incision is very low and thin think of drawing a line with a very sharp pencil thats what my scar looks like. On the ends its a bit fatter but not much. My belly button is nice very small and round doesn't look "man-made". I did not keloid anywhere and to my surprise my incisions have healed very well. Initially, I thought my breasts were not big enough (533cc's) but 5 weeks out swelling down they are very full and natural looking with more settling to go so they are PERFECT.
Sorry for the long review, but I found these to be the most informative during my quest. If you are planning on having surgery DO NOT believe Instagram and the such. Many take credit for the work of others. If you can't find a real life candidate of the Dr you are seeking go and get a feel for the Dr. and go with your gut. I highly recommend Dr. Bruno. Marisol rocked and so did the surgery center I had no complaints!
