are you still happy with your results? Looks like there might be some hollowness?

I had a procedure to remove excess skin on my upper eye lids and below my eyes, with fat repositioning to the hollow areas below my eyes.

As I was an out-of-town client (from Seattle), Dr Taban and his office, Tasha and Zaira, communicated via email with very friendly and timely responses and detailed information. I also had a skype consultation with Dr Taban prior to the procedure.

Dr Taban and Tasha made me feel very comfortable and made the in-office procedure a hassel free experience. Tasha helped me with my wayward Uber driver after the procedure - much appreciated.

Followed all instructions with ice applications, medications, eye ointments and eye drops - which made my recovery drama free. Swelling started to noticiblely subside after 3 days and bruising at 9 days. Stitches removed on day 7. I still have a little discoloration under the eyes that the fat repositioning did not eliminate, but was not expecting this problem to be resolved completely.

I am very, very happy with the results. I am glad I chose Dr Taban to work on such a delicate and important part of me.

Hi neighbor! I am from Vancouver, WA. and I'm flying out in October for a consoltation for revision eye lid surgery with Dr. Taban. Just curious where You stayed after the surgery? Did you have to stay 7 days to get stitches removed, or did someone in Seattle remove stitches? What was it like flying back home swollen and bruised? Did you travel alone? I am actually going to his Santa Barbara office for the consoltation, but if he's willing to do the revision surgery I will probably have it done In LA. Any tips or advice is appreciated! I'm nervous about traveling to do this, but want to make a good choice the second time around! Thanks!
I ended up traveling alone - which I was a little nervous about. I rented an airbnb apartment close to Dr Taban's Beverly Hills office and arrived the day before the procedure. It was so much cheaper and gave me more freedom and extra space than a hotel room. I stocked up the apartment with lots of food supplies, but also used Postmates for some food delivery. I didn't have to stay for the 7 days, but I wanted to follow up with Dr Taban and have him close if something went wrong. I also wanted the stitches removed by the person who put them in......I trust Dr Taban completely. I used Uber to get me back to the apartment - he was super helpful too, and walked me to the apartment door. I was bruised and swollen, but it's LA and I wore sunglasses when I went out side....nobody commented. You actually kind of feel like a rockstar.....lol. For the flight home I recommend you bring plenty of ziplock baggies and just fill with a cup of ice from the coffee shop at the airport. The ice packs I had did not stay frozen for very long. Keep alternating for 20mins on and 20mins off for the entire flight or you will swell more. The lovely flight attendants also gave me a fresh ice cup refills - but don't use their ziplock bags, they leaked everywhere. If someone asked if I was ok, I just commented "you should see the other girl" hehehe.
If you go with airbnb I suggest you choose one that is rented out by a girl.....in my experience the boys are just not as clean - especially if you are staying for the week.
Dr Taban, Tasha and Zaira were happy and quick to answer my questions via emails and told me to call anytime - I did not feel alone and was so happy that I traveled to have the procedure with Dr Taban.
Thank you for your advice! I wish I would have went to Dr. Taban in the first place! You're a smart girl!
I am thinking of making a consultation appt. with him. I assume you were awake during the procedure? How was that & getting the numbing shots? That is the part that makes me nervous. I ned the same thing, but just my lowers right now.
How are your eyes now? I have read it can take four months for your eyes to heal
completely. Do you have any before and after pics? Thanks for sharing.
Being awake for the procedure was fine. I was given 0.5mg of Ativan before and that made me pretty groggy but I didn't fall asleep - apparently most people do just have a nap. I felt no pain during the procedure just a little tugging every now and again. I was able to talk, which was fun, and there is music to listen to. The worst part was the numbing injections, but it was just the initial sting of the needle and it went away pretty quick. Just remember to breathe through the pain. The best part of being awake was the post procedure recovery period. I was a little unsteady on my feet initially but could walk around and see where I was going. If you are really concerned about the injections there maybe an option for numbing cream to pop around some of the areas a few hours before?? Not sure, but worth asking.
It's been 2 months and my eyes seem healed - and I am super happy and get plenty of compliments. Make up covered any residual bruising after the stitches were removed. I have a little scar line around the eyes that I put bio-oil on every day and they are slowly fading. I'm not sure what technique Dr Taban will suggest for you but usually the incision is on the inside of the lower eyelid - I just had a lot of excess skin to remove. I will try to upload some photos.
Greetings! Thank you so very much for your informative replies & the pics you
posted! It helps so much! Great idea about the numbing cream for the shots. I
will definitely ask about that! I am definitely ready to be bag free for 2017!
Thanks again for all your feed back, it has really helped myself & others as well.
BTW You look very pretty, you have great skin too!
Thank you Amanda for your feedback and coming to see me for eyelid surgery from Seattle!
