1 week post CoolSculpting, 2nd area of flanks treated

So I am one week post treatment of my anterior flanks and so far so good. I am still pretty numb from the first treatment in the areas that were done but I definitely have had no pain and the tenderness is gone. I had my posterior flanks treated yesterday as well and I will say that this area was not nearly as sensitive. After the treatment I didn't have any tenderness or any numbness like the first treatment although I definitely did still bruise. I also had no trouble laying on my sides this time like I did with the anterior flanks. Will continue to update as the healing process continues!

Having seen all the reviews on it, I was extremely...

Having seen all the reviews on it, I was extremely excited when I finally was able to try the CoolSculpting when it became available by two doctors I trust immensely. I decided I wanted to write about my experience the whole way through. First, I will be honest, it was semi awkward to strip down in front of two doctors I know well and have them poke and pull at my fat. A little background on me, I am 5'6'' 136 pounds. I actively work out but like many have that stubborn belly pooch and love handles. I already knew I wanted to target my love handles first (I full intend to do my abdomen later on). After getting all marked up for the two areas on each side on my love handles (4 areas total) I got prepped to have the machine put on. First they put a VERY cold patch on the first area to be treated. This patch is to prevent you as the patient from getting hurt at all if the machine malfunctions in anyway. It is sort of like a barrier. To be honest, this was the hardest part of the procedure, it is DAMN COLD. After that, they had me sit on the chair and applied the machine and turned the suction on. It is definitely a strange feeling but completely tolerable. I then laid down, positioned myself comfortably and they turned the cold on. Again the pain, if i'd even call it that, was completely tolerable and after 5 minutes, I was completely numb. 60 minutes later they removed the machine, hurts for a small second as they pull it off but then completely fine and the docs massaged out the butter like lump. This was a tad uncomfortable and I definitely gritted my teeth a bit at certain parts but it did feel a little good towards the end to have the coldness rubbed out. I flipped over and did the second side then, same routine. I only did 2 of the 4 areas to start (it takes an hour per area so I needed to get back to work at some point). Immediately after the procedure it was clear I was going to bruise as a small bruise had already begun to form, but it just looked like a gigantic hickey. The next few hours I was numb and it kind of just felt foreign to touch the areas. That night, I will admit I had some trouble sleeping (I fell asleep just fine but was woken up by my dog getting sick around 2:30 am) and at that point the tenderness had set in and as a side sleeper, it was a little hard to get comfortable. I'm sure if I had taken some Tylenol I would have been fine but I was lazy about getting up and just dealt with the discomfort.
Day 2- Could have woken up and gone to the gym and worked out but decided to take it easy just in case. Went to work as normal and worked a full 8 hours with no discomfort or pain at all. Putting leggings on did feel a little strange but no pain whatsoever. Will be interesting to see how tonight goes! Will update in the morning
