My calves are literally 43 cm and 44 cm. I am told the average is 35 cm. I am having two procedures done which are Calf Reduction Radiofrequency Nerve Ablation to reduce the muscle bulk along with calf liposuction to smooth out the contour of my calves. This is going to cost me the equivalent of 3 Hermes Birkins. :( I really hope it all goes well with my procedures and I will be tracking my progress and experience here.

Post-Op : Day 4
ughcyOctober 30, 2017
Am extremely swollen in both legs to the point of dark black and maroon bruising. I only hired the night nurse for 2 days so I'm all on my own now. As long as I am on tip-toes I can manage to get to the bathroom. Legs are bandaged and extremely swollen to the same circumference as my thighs.
I reduced the pain killers to 6-8 hours as opposed to 4-6 hours. What hurts the most are my ankles, a sharper throbbing pain. I ate a salad for breakfast, fried rice with vegetables for lunch, tomato soup with veggies as a snack and ordered sauteed veggies with spaghetti for dinner. Dr. says everything looks normal right now, but I'm still scared to death of the outcome and having to wear pants for next 6 months through winter.

Day 5: Pain
ughcyNovember 1, 2017
I woke up every hour starting at 3:00AM with my ankle and calves throbbing with pain. Took my painkillers as required but it took a while to kick in. Went to my first lymphatic drainage session which was pretty uncomfortable but was able to reduce my swelling calves and ankles by approx.10%.
Still too swollen to put on any compression garments on my legs.
Really hoping the swelling / bruising will be reduced soon so I can get back to work.
I can walk very gingerly with wedged shoes similar to a penguin but definitely nowhere close to being able function normally yet.
