Having lift and aug in 3 weeks ! I lost about 40 pounds over the past few years with diet and exercise. I have always had deformed breasts. I have always been extremely self conscious about it ever since I started developing at a young age. I remember being in p.e. class in 6th grade and having girls make fun of me and ask why they point down. I even went so far as to have my mom take me to a surgeon when I was 16 to have reconstructive surgery but she told me to wait until I fully developed. I went off to college and have thought about it a lot in undergrad. Avoiding the beach and being in a swimsuit, not even being comfortable enough to wear a strapless top EVER ( Even with a strapless bra they didn't look right :( ) I feel like I have wasted a good chunk of my life hiding my boobs and being self conscious about my body for so long that I am finally ready to go under the knife to get them to looking the way they should for me a 26 year old girl who has never had kids or breast fed. This is going to be a life changing event ! I am so ready for the surgery ! This will have a tremendously positive affect of me emotionally and physically and I am so thankful to have this opportunity. I am posting my journey to hopefully help others make the decision to do something to make them feel good about themselves. Some of my friends think I'm crazy and don't understand but its been a really depressing and embarrassing part of my body for so long. Im so excited to finally fix things and feel like a young woman, wear cute clothing. I know it may sound silly but I can't wait to try on a strapless dress and look cute in it. :* Thanks for reading and love to all. If you have questions about who is performing my surgery feel free to contact me! And sorry for the typos got a little emotional there ;)

*Tears* our stories are very similar.. I'm 24 and have suffered from sagginess since I was a teen due to weight loss and genetics (my sisters have the same issues). I just saved $6,000 for this very surgery and plan to start looking for a doctor when I reach the $10,000 mark. I am excited for this surgery. However, I am a Registered nurse and am fairly new at my current job. I don't feel comfortable asking for prolonged time off at this point. My work criteria calls for me to bend over at times (due to pulling medications from a pyxis machine). I don't do heavy lifting, but it is a possibility that I may have to physically restrain a patient (I am a mental health nurse). So my question is, how long do you think it would take to be okay to return to work? (or to a job like I explained) I know at 10 days post, you're still really sore... I really appreciate your feedback!! I wish you a speedy full recovery!! Your results are already amazing--makes me all the more anxious and excited!!!

Hi Vegas Vegan ! I work in medicine also !! I am just at my 2 week mark today. I went back to work 4 days after my procedure but literally did nothing but answer phone calls and front office things for that first week (super annoying -_- ) ! I'd say for your job give yourself at least 2-3 weeks out. You can't lift ( I didn't even carry a purse my first week only a wristlet) or really reach work for the first week ( Still not lifting just to be safe not to rupture sutures!) I have had patients in the past rip sutures out from other areas from lifting and reaching ! So I am very cautious/paranoid of creating any type of dehiscence ! Pain wise for returning to work after surgery they don't hurt really it just feels like you've just done a million push ups and your chest is tight. Also its sore more when you are moving around the first week. After that you start to feel better once you start to move around more (weird I know). The main thing I'd be cautious of in mental health is someone bumping into you or your boobs while recovering. I have had a few people do that to me the first time I went out while recovering just this Tuesday and it just made me a little more sore on that one side ! Just put your whole floor on ativan and soft restraints until you fully recover and you will be fine! :P lol jk You will be really happy once you do it its truly life changing I'm so happy and my boobs are in the crazy looking phase right now lol ! Also don't let anyone talk you out of it! I had so many people tell me my boobs were "fine" because they have never seen them out of a shirt or tell me to wait and have kids ( which aren't in my near future !).So keep your eyes on the boobie prize and keep in touch ! :) Let me know if you have any other questions feel free to message me also !

Thanks for the response! You sound very cautious and responsible about your recovery. As much as I want to get this surgery, I just don't feel I'd be able to take 2-3 weeks off of work anytime soon. The hospital I work at is in dire need of nursing staff right now, and hates when even veteran staff call in sick... Maybe i'll talk with my manager at some point and see if she can work a way to allow another nurse pull meds for me. I'll try and work something out!! Anyway, I look forward to staying in touch with you and continue in following your recovery journey!! ^_^

I'll preface this by saying I'm not a doc or anything so can't give any medical advice but I think it depends on how fast you normally heal from injury. I am on my feet all day running around with my job and right now I am one week post op and I definitely feel I could go back to it now. Zero pain, no soreness. Feel pretty much back to normal weirdly enough. Just have to kind of take a break from standing for too long and recline a bit because the gravity on the big new boobs is a lot after a while. I got a personal trainer and worked out a TON in the weeks prior to surgery and drank protein shakes every day so I think that really is helping my healing. So start working out a lot, schedule the surgery for a friday so you can get that extra weekend and I think you can get away with a week and a couple days off! Good luck!!

Not really going for the "natural" look. I don't mind if people know my boobs have been augmented when they see them while I'm showing them off !

Im so excited! Cannot wait to see how they heal. I feel great actually but I know I will probably get sore overnight. Been in and out of sleep all day ! The pain isn't bad at all. I am not taking a muscle relaxer. Only Oxy 5/325 2 every 6 hours. Happy healing to everyone else also ! Especially for boobday sisters and brothers :* Love you all good night !
