Where do I start? I initially started doing my research for plastic surgeons in the Los Angeles area a year before my surgery. After a year of extensive research, I came to a decision that I would have my breast lift w/ implants with Dr. Chiu. I have been to so many plastic surgery offices before I found Dr. Chiu. Approximately 15 plastic surgeons before I made my decision.
The thing that caught my attention and made Dr. Chiu stand out from all the other surgeons was his caring manner. As soon as I stepped into his office it was a totally different vibe, much more warm and comfortable then the other offices I had been too. When I had my first consultation with Dr. Chiu I was much more relaxed and within 10 minutes of the consultation I knew I wanted Dr. Chiu as my surgeon! I had four more consultations scheduled with different surgeons after Dr. Chiu but after our first meeting ended I called the rest and cancelled them!
After making the decision to go with Dr. Chiu the whole process was easy. I initially did everything on the phone because my work schedule was so hectic. The receptionist was super helpful and friendly and even though I made it harder for her with her workload, she was always kind and sincere and more than happy to help you! After the whole payment process was finished I scheduled my date and had my surgery.
Before the surgery I had my doubts and kept changing my mind whether to go with saline or silicone! Dr. Chiu provided me with his personal cell phone number (he does this with all his clients, incase they have any questions and can’t reach him during his office hours) and I would text him with any questions and doubts I had, he would respond in a very timely manner, helping me ease my anxiety. Dr. Chiu is a very patient, observant, and a very personable doctor. He really cares, and takes him time to help his patients go through the process from start to finish.
The surgery date came and went. I went into the facility where I was having my surgery, they had free parking for my mom so she didn’t have to pay for validation while she waited for me to wake up from my surgery. The surgery took about 2-3 hours? I don’t quite remember, all I remember from that day is going to sleep, waking up, and then being escorted to the hotel across the street for my recovery.
It’s been almost three months now since I’ve had my surgery. No regrets so far! At first the scars from my breast lift did scare me, and also the positon of the implants were so high I had my doubts! But Dr. Chiu also put my fears to ease, he kept reassuring me that the implants would settle and that the scars would start to fade every day more and more! In the beginning, he schedules a check up every TWO WEEKS to make sure everything is going smoothly and he helps you through all the massages as well as takes pictures of your progress. Viewing my pictures has helped me realize how much I have progressed in recovery! Also every time I did visit I would come in with a HUGE LIST of questions for Dr. Chiu and he would take his time to explain to me all the answers he had for my ENDLESS LIST of questions! I am so thankful for Dr. Chiu as well as Laurie (his nurse) they have made this whole process so much easier for me! They always welcome you into their offices, and never get annoyed even if you bring them a endless list of questions they probably have to answer with every consultation and checkup! I have no regrets so far! I know ONE REGRET I WILL NEVER HAVE is choosing Dr. Chiu as my surgeon! He is really amazing at what he does, and the cherry on top is how sincere and personable he is to his patients! If you do decide to choose Dr. Chiu, I can guarantee you will not have any REGRETS! I can see why the whole internet is buzzing about him! He is SO AMAZING!
