My Life Changing Decision. Much More Than Just a Revision. Beverly Hills, CA

I will start by saying Dr. Rahban is a truly talented plastic surgeon. This review is long and detailed but reviews like this were what helped me when I was in your shoes. After my first (and then second) breast augmentation with another surgeon went terribly wrong about 12 years ago I made it my mission to find a plastic surgeon who was truly the best. I met with over a dozen surgeons in a 120 mile radius and was still on the hunt; until I found Dr. Rahban. I searched review websites, forums etc for hours on end looking through hundreds of doctors when I stumbled across Dr. Rahbans website. His work was extremely impressive and he specialized in reconstruction so I gave his office a call to schedule a consultation. I was told about a consultation fee and told them I would think about it and call them back, as many of the other consultations I had went on were free. I then went on and searched through over a hundred reviews, reading each one line by line and came across a few discussions between his former patients as well as more pictures. That was it, this was my guy. I called back and scheduled my appointment for a day I would be in Beverly Hills already meeting other plastic surgeons to discuss surgery. From the moment I stepped in the office I was impressed. Dolla, the receptionist was very kind and accommodating and the office was very clean and inviting. As I was waiting, I spoke to a women in the waiting room who had just had a tummy tuck preformed. She raved about how amazing Dr. Rahban was and that her scars were almost non existent (she was only about a week post op) which was great news! I was terrified of scarring as all the other plastic surgeons I saw emphasized the scarring from the surgery (I needed an anchor lift) one doctor going as far as turning me away because I was "on the high end of messed up" and told me the scaring wouldn't be worth it. I was taken back into a room while I anxiously waited for Dr. Rahban. In he came, very black and white yet very kind and personable. He began by asking me questions about my former breast augmentations and why I was unhappy with them and moved on to my wish list for my revision. After throughly examining my breasts and taking measurements (not one doctor I saw even came close to taking the measurements and examining the way he did) he began to tell me what would need to be done. He did this in a way in which I understood, he drew pictures, made charts and really broke it down in a way in which I could understand. He was very realistic in terms of expectations while exuding confidence no other doctor had. Wow, let me tell you- I learned so much during that consultation (lasted about an hour) I walked out feeling like I could preform the surgery myself. I was SO glad I went ahead with the appointment and paid the fee, I would've paid it ten times over. In fact, I strongly suggest that even if you aren't quite ready to go through with surgery, or aren't able to use Dr. Rahban as your surgeon for whatever reason; AT LEAST have a consultation with him to educate yourself about the procedure you are going to have done. I then met with the amazing Sally to go over surgery pricing and dates. Did I mention she is absolutely amazing?! I told her I would think about it and get back to her. I went on to my next less than mediocre 10 minute consultation (no wonder these things are free) with a surgeon down the street which confirmed everything I already knew, Dr. Rahban was the one. I cancelled the rest of my appointments and called back Sally to go over dates and payment. Fast forward to the day of my surgery- I was terrified! I have a 2 year old son and for some reason I was taking being away from him and going under harder than I would have expected. Once again, in walks Dr. Rahban and my fears instantly drift away. Onto my follow up, the grand reveal. Woah- are these mine? Dr. Rahban completely fixed my breasts, I was in shock- I could have never even dreamed they would come out this way! When he removed my stitches, I was left with the thinnest incisions I have ever seen. In fact, they look more like paper cuts than incisions. Absolutely perfect, all the way around and I was NOT an easy case. I know he specializes in this sort of work but I think I am safe to assume I was one of the more challenging cases he's seen. Choosing Dr. Rahban was nothing short of life changing. I spent over a decade of my life covering up; choosing my bathing suits and wardrobe in a way that would hide my chest. It affected my confidence as well as my personal life. I am so glad I am now able to wear whatever I want with pride and confidence. My only regret is not going sooner. Do yourself a favor and go see Dr. Rahban :)
