WORTH IT
Please refer to my original review, dated January 2013 with Dr. Leif Rogers.

Ladies, I'm 62 years old and after much consideration decided to do a second round of fat transfer to the breast. For whatever time I'm granted on this earth, I intend to enjoy with my enhanced girls!

I'm 5'5", 127, and had 380cc's placed in each breast, the max Dr. Rogers could inject. I'm very pleased with the results. My recovery has been fairly uneventful, bruising minimal, and pain tolerable. I had general anesthesia with Dr. Rogers harvesting fat from the abdomen, flanks, and knees. He very carefully did incisions and they are either "hidden" or strategically placed so as to be least noticeable. My main concern after surgery was the post swelling of my body, but that has diminished greatly.

I've worn a compression garment since, and intend to do so until end of my 4th week. Then I'll switch to Spanx during the day and back to compression garments at night for two more weeks.

So far, while my breasts have gone down in size as Dr. Rogers predicted, I've maintained an amount with which I'm happy. He said what I have at 6 weeks is what I'll keep. I was a 34 a/b before. I'm not going to be measured until the 6th week.

I can't speak highly enough of Dr. Rogers and his team. Their professionalism and caring are beyond reproach.

Please type in Dr. Leif Roger's name in the search box. You will find my original review entitled, "30 year old silicone implants out and fat transferred in" posted January 2013.

Crazy pricey!

I agree.-there is no question that it was expensive. I had to save, for sure. The cost was 3k per lipo area- and because I did not have much extra fat, it took several sites to harvest sufficient fat. But I would not have entrusted anyone other than Dr. Rogers to do my fat transfer -or any other type of procedure, if I had the need.

Glad you are pleased with your physician, but Im wondering if you had transfer in 2013 and had again this year, how much retained from 2013?
June 23, 2016
Thank you for your question. Yes, I had fat transferred in 2013, but do not recall the amount. I had little breast tissue, so I think I retained most of what was placed. I am posting some new photos in a bit because I am now one month post.

Thank you for clarifying. I saw another older recount from a gal who has laser lipo method transfer who didnt update to advise what was retained. Was your method "original" (larger cannula diameter) wo laser-assist, or laser? Thanks so much in advance for your detail. Im scheduled in NC for surgery and concerned about retention and recovery

So sorry I cannot provide those specifics as don't know. I just trusted my doctor as he had had previously great reviews re retention and patient satisfaction. Wishing you the best!

Oh, yes. I did look but was not able to find the original review you refer to. You have some gorgeous breasts!! I'll go back and re-read but can you direct me to your earlier review? [RS bleep]

Thanks very much for your kind compliment. Please search "Leif Rogers"- then you will see "review." Mine is entitled, "30 Year Silicone Implants....." You will find my narrative of how I came to have silicone implants placed by an army doctor for $500 (no kidding!) and my resulting decision to explant with fat transfer. Best-
July 27, 2016
Oh, great. Will look it up. (Btw, that is crazy!! At,y doc, 500? Yikes)
July 27, 2016
Sorry, I keep thinking of additional questions, comments. Someone mentioned it was expensive but I don't see where you say how much the second procedure was, I think if the doc is good, it is definitely worth paying more and traveling if necessary. There is a doctor not far who does a lot of fat transfer, so I would have to do more research. Also, I don't see that you had much trauma from sites where fat was harvested... Not a lot of bruising and marks and such. Did you not have that or did you just wait to take photos after it healed...

I did have bruising and marks on my thighs, flank areas, under breasts but honestly, I do not think overall they were that bad. Honestly, from having had fat transfer before I knew what to expect-bruising, soreness, discomfort for a while. But, I felt that it was tolerable and worth it because of the anticipated outcome. The first 2 days were the "hardest" in terms of pain and feeling "out of it." My breasts felt sore, but again after the initial period, was tolerable. I did indicate the cost initially but decided to omit it as I mentioned.

And again, I want to say how much I love Dr. Rogers and his team. He is just great IMHO.
July 27, 2016
Oh, I missed the comment above t cost. But you loved the doc and think he did a great job... Was it the same doc both times? I'm just very curious...
July 27, 2016
Yes, Dr. Leif Rogers. Meticulous, detail oriented, nice as the day is long.
July 27, 2016
Wow. Just read you're initial review. Sounds like you've been through quite a lot and have come out on top! Congratulations and good for your. Gosh, it is so good to hear from someone who is my age for one big thing... And yes really do look fantastic and sound so healthy mentally and physically. Thanks for the info. I will continue my healing from this removal surgery and then see how things proceed with my adjustment to being flat flat flat !!! Maybe this is an answer for me :). [RS bleep]. Thanks so much for being so responsive :) and if I do it, it is worth the extra cost to travel to a really good doctor !

One Month plus and So Far, So Good

Out of curiosity and I must admit some impatience, went to VS to be measured. Was deemed a 34DVD, which surprised me. I went up from an a/b, depending on bra to a DVD! Oh my. I do know that size has gone down from initial early weeks. I wasn't aiming to be "large" - just more proportionate. If you knew where I had originally started ( think virtually nothing), you'd be as amazed:)
