I never hated my breasts. They were little but so was I. However, I have always been athletic. I would go to the gym and lift weights and see my muscles develop but never my breasts. That was the down fall. No matter how much I worked out, I would never fill out my sports bra, which was upsetting. After a few years of thinking, should I, shouldn't I? I realized I wasn't getting any younger. I knew I would be happier if everything balanced out.
I went to Dr. Chui at BHPS Inc. in Beverly Hills because my mom referred me. They waived my consultation fee because of that. I met with Dr. Chui and was impressed by how many breast augmentations he had done (10,000.) I had seen a lot of his work online and liked what I saw.
I wanted a very natural look, so I decided to go with the moderate classic implant under the muscle through the nipple.
Pros: The staff was really helpful and kind. Dr. Chui was very professional and artistic. I am really loving my results. They offer financing. I got 18 months interest free. They use a surgical center instead of a hospital. Dr. Chui is very personable and involved (he even gave me his cell phone number so I could ask him questions if the office was closed.) He has a natural approach, utilizing natural vitamins to prep you for surgery and suggests weaning off pain meds as soon as you feel you don't need them.
Cons: Far for me. I live in Santa Clarita and a lot of times, the receptionists wanted to schedule my appointment at 9am which made me drive in a lot of traffic, but I learned my lesson after the first time to request what time I wanted. Expensive. My mother paid $6500, but that was 5 years ago. I suppose there is inflation and of course with more years experience, comes a higher bill. I paid $8100 for the surgery but with everything else (gas driving there and back for consultation, pre-op, surgery, post op appointments, surgical bras and bands, medications, blood work, silicone scar cream etc.) it came out to be more. Although, you get what you pay for and I am completely satisfied with my results.
All in all, if you are thinking about getting a breast augmentation, I would choose Dr. Chui again and again. He is very gentle, personable and artistic. He really balanced out my aesthetic and I am truly happy with my result. If you are on the fence with the procedure, just do it! You won't regret it. I know I don't.
