WORTH IT$13,000
Hello I'm 5'1 weigh 139lbs and scheduled to get a bbl by Dr Dennis Dass in approx 2 weeks 4/7/17. I originally looked into having this procedure done like 10 yrs ago with Dr Mendieta from Miami FL and even went as far as having a face to face consult with him but at the end decided to wait until i had my children. I now have a 6 and 3 yr old and here I am back at it again. I've always had boobs but never a booty to match. Only a few of us are blessed with both lol...I had three plastic surgeons in mind: Dr Mendieta (FL), Dr Aslani (Spain) and Dr Dass (Cali). I decided on Dass because I like his work the most. I've seen to many dissatisfied reviews for my liking with Mendieta and Aslani was just to far for me. Dr Dass was a perfect mix of contouring and nice booties. His results seem to be consistent and he has mostly good reviews for the exception of one or two. I also feel he has a good understanding of a woman's body.. During our phone consultation he asked me a few medical questions reviewed my pictures, discussed what he needed to do and answered all my questions. At the end he gave me my quote which was pretty steep and expensive but I have no plans to cut corners and base something like this on prices. The way I see it is this is something I'm going to have to live with for the rest of my life. He will be liposuctioning my waist + hips (love handles) with fat transfer, my upper and lower abdominal, my back bra rolls and my Mons pubis (which is the area right on top of your vjayj)... Like everyone doing this, I want the best possible results. My expectations are not unrealistic. I'm not looking for an extremely tiny waist with big hips and booty. In my case Im more interested in overall contouring with proportions that complement my body and height. And Of course I want a plump nice butt to fill in them jeans. I don't have wish pics because I think that we all have our own unique body build and genetics. As precautionary measures I went to my physician and ran blood work which came out perfect and a EKG which also was a good report. You could never be to cautious when doing surgery. I've also started taking my vitamins and plan to start the Arnica a week before sx. Some of my concerns going into this is ending up with lumps and bumps, seromas, and/or noticeable irregularities. I'm also concerned about taking care of my kids during the recovery process. I'm staying in cali for a week after my surgery but then I'm back home taking care of the kiddos. Im open to any input/tips/suggestions from you ladies that have been or are planning to go through this journey. I am super nervous and excited all at the same time. I will be documenting my journey the best I can and hope not only to get support and suggestions from you ladies but that this will serve of benefit to another beautiful lady out there who's contemplating this procedure. Much love to all please send me good vibes and hope for the best 4 me. Thanks 4 reading :-))

Seems kind of expensive, did you get any other consultations? Just curious. I don't doubt he will do an amazing job but just wondering what others charged? Do you have any pics? I am the same height.

Yes I did from Dr Mendieta and with him it would have been about $10,000 if I did it during August when they run a special and if not the price was higher. Will post some pics soon.

Thank you =D & yesss it is definitely an emotional roller coaster but once you get through the whole surgery part you will feel a lot better. I know exactly what you mean, a few days before surgery I was starting to feel like I was being selfish and if i should really be doing this because I have kids but then that Saturday before my surgery I had a family event and was so depressed at the fact that I couldn't find anything to wear and whatever I did like looked very unflattering because of my body. So that same Monday I went into surgery excited but nervous and ready to change my life forever. Lol but anywho! You are in good hands and you will be glad that you did it once you get to the other side.

Thanks so much for the encouragement!! I need it because I've been feeling the same exact way even the feeling selfish part because I have kids also. It's like you can't win lol before kids I said no let me wait I know kids do a number on your body and now after kids I'm like am I being selfish, should I be doing this, is it necessary blah blah blah but said nope need to do something for me. I will definitely keep things updated. Leaving to LA on Thursday morning...mental note to BREATHE lol right now I've been going over everything I need to do before leaving.

I'm flying from Sacramento on May 1st to consult with Dass on my 2nd BBL (1st was 3 yrs ago with Hughes). Let me know if you have any questions. I've been through it and it's NO JOKE!

Hi! Why are you needing a second go? Are you happy with the results or did you lose the fat?
User Avatar

Good question. I think there were a variety of factors. Def. didn't get my money worth but not sure why things didn't maintain. I'm not a junkie just my stomach is in bad shape, lumpy from seroma that formed shortly after and overall not at all happy, my butt is larger but not perky. Essentially, I had lipo only on lower tummy and flanks and oddly enough, when I gain weight my lower tummy stays flat and I get a pooch above my belly button. My profile looks crazy! My goal is a TT (maybe a mini) the BBL is just the bonus since I have a decent amt. of fat to give.

I think I also developed a Seroma on my front scar where he took fat, I try to massage it but it just looks dented u can see there's a bump.

Thank you! That is very sweet. I actually didn't know what to buy as far as clothes. I ended up buying leggings and tights and some over sized shirts with maybe two loose dresses. Is there anything specific you would recommend? Sorry to hear that you need to go for another round. Do you feel after the first time it was at least an improvement? That is one of my concerns ending up with a lumpy bumpy stomach. I know nothing is perfect but I'm really hoping that doesn't happen and that I'm happy with results overall...your brave to be going through it again.

I came across someone's journal (another Dass patient) and she developed little ones on her lower stomach area. She massaged and put small pieces of surgical tape tightly on them to apply pressure. She said they went away. Some seromas resolve on their own. Did you call the office to see what he recommends?

Did you go to Dr Dass? Did he use drains? Dr Hughes didn't and I think it should have been used.

I'm not confirmed for sx I'm consulting May 1. I don't feel like I got an 8k improvement by any means. I feel like I got about a 15%-20% increase (I didn't have a flat butt to start) but no shape difference which is one of the reasons I'm considering Dass, he makes a difference in the shape. Again, I'm most interested in TT but I've seen him do combo in the gallery that turned out well. As far as I know aggressive lipo has a tendency to leave lumps in some cases seroma they tell you will get better but it doesn't and I can speak after 3 yrs. the lumps bother me waaaaaay more than my stretch marks! As for clothing, I don't think you will like to wear leggings so much immediately but after a week or two maybe. The walmart sweats were so look nice so I would grab some of those and maybe some maxi dresses or skirts.

Best of luck to you! Be prepared the first few days are rough for real and not sitting is the WORST! You don't realize until you can't sit how much you use that behind!

I bought a bunch of stuff too but it was overkill. The two things I couldn't have survived without was my Amazon foam that I cut out to sit and sleep on as well as my funnel to pee (which was just a red plastic cup in each bathroom). Were you planning on posting before and after?
User Avatar
April 6, 2017
Thank you!! I know the past few days I've been trying to sleep on my back and find ways to not sit to start getting myself use to it and it's been such a pain plus I have kids two kids but I signed up for this time to suck it up lol wish there was an easier way. I just want to get this over with and be back home. I was thinking I wanted to fix my breast after this but i don't know this might be it for me...no more sx.

Thinking about you today knowing your surgery is tomorrow and how nervous you can be. I and hoping that he can give you the shape you desire and it will all be worth it. Just know that the liposuction will wreck your nerves and you will feel numbness on your stomach and other areas that get lipo. I was a little bit freaked out that my body would not go back to normal but it did. I am three years out and I never thought I would go back under the knife again because I also had a breast augmentation over 10 years ago. Basically my husband has recognized my insecurities and has encouraged me to do whatever it takes to feel good in my own skin. Also I have had 3 kids two of which are 3 and 5 we are done. We go through a lot bearing children and also work very hard for our money so I see no reason to feel that this is selfish. When you see how good you look in clothing you will be so excited! Praying for you to have a safe surgery and wishing you get as much booty as possible.
