Hi Real Self community, im excited to share my BBL/fat transfer journey with you guys (:
So getting right into it.
Im almost 5'6'', 142lbs, and very petite. It took me soooo long to choose a surgeon omg. But i finally narrowed it down, and I choose to go with Dr. Dennis Dass in Beverly Hills. Im so excited about the procedure, I cant wait. My preop appt is on Oct.17th and my surgery is at 7am on Nov 1st. Oh, and I will be AWAKE during my entire procedure. lol crazy, I know. But anesthesia takes days to wear off and I'd rather just not go thru that hell along with the recovery of the actual surgery.
Ok, so, I chose Dass because 1. I live here in LA and he's definitely one of the best out here. 2. His results seem to be consistent and his patient reviews are as well. 3. He operates on skinny patients. and 4. I felt really comfortable during both consultations
Counsultations:
Each visit is $100. And if you end up booking with him it goes towards the surgery.
My first visit Dass was in Oct 2016. He was very sweet but very quiet. I thinks he know that people are still searching so he doesnt want to be pushy or come on too strong. IDK.
However, during my first consultation he answered all my questions and gave me additional information. I told him that I didnt know if I had enough fat for the procedure and he checked. I was about 125lbs at the time. He made it clear that I was an eligible candidate for the surgery, BUT I only had a limited about of fat to harvest. He said he could take fat from my love handles/sides, but that was it, cause i barely had fat in my stomach and no bra rolls. This info wasnt surprising to me because I already know that im very thin. My goal isnt to have a huge shelf or anything like it, but I would just live some curves. I have none. No hips at all. Nothing. My butt is a decent size, but I would like an upside down heart shape. So really I just want to reshape my body and add hips. I explained all of that to him and he said that he can do.
I did my second consultation in Aug 2017. So almost a year later. During this consultation he seemed to be more relaxed and warmed up to me. He even joked around. This time around I was 140lbs. He gave me another look and confirmed that he will do my love handles/sides. He also noticed that I had gained the weight in my stomach area. I told him that I thought about getting my abdomen done but I am scared of having lumps. And he was completely honest with me. He told me that he could do my abdomen, but the less about of fat in that area the more likely it is that I might have a few lumps. He said he would try to his best not to leave me with any, but he can't guarantee it 100%. I really appreciated that answer because he could have just said he will do my stomach just to get more money but he didn't.
After the second consultation is when I booked my surgery date. Right then & there. It's $1000 to save a date and the rest of the money is due the day of your preop appt. Which is scheduled for about two weeks before the surgery.
Now I just sit and wait for my preop.

(besides the obvious first two, I am NOT saying all of these women have had surgery!!! I just like the shape of their bodies)

Hi guys. I went to my pre op appt in Oct 17, 2017.
When i got in the office the first thing i did was paid the balance and sign documents electronically on my phone.
Then i was taken to a room, changed into a surgical robe & the nurse/receptionist came in & took pics of my body. Then she pricked my finger & drew a little bit of blood for a blood test.
She also gave me a bag with the things i’ll need after surgery.
Arnicare Gel & Tablets: this is for swelling. rub the gel onto areas that are lipoed. put 5 arnicare beads under your tongue & let them dissolve. do this three times a day until all tablets (beads) are gone.
miralax: a stool softener because you can get constipated after surgery. mix one pack with 8oz of liquid.
Bactrim: an antibiotic. take one tablet twice a day until they are gone.
Phenergan: nausea medicine. take 1 every 8hrs.
Prescription for Percocet: pain medicine. take 1-2 every 4-6 hrs as needed.

She also gave me instructions for pre op & post op care.
Important things:
stop taking birth control, omega 3, fish oil, vitamin 3, ibropfen, etc the day of your pre op all the way up until surgery date.
you can take multivitamins (centrum, or other brands)

After, Dr Dass came in & took a look at me again. I asked if i could lipo my stomach & he told me that yes he can, but i only have a verity small amount of fat in my stomach so it wouldn’t be worth it. It’s not enough fat to make a difference in my butt so he doesn’t recommend it. So i’m not doing it because that would be extra pain and money for almost nothing. I also asked him the same exact questions that i asked before lol but he was really nice & answered them all again. Since i will be awake, he explained what i would feel. They’ll give me three pills that will make me feel like i’ve had a few cocktails, then they will inject the numbing medicine in the areas that will be lipo’d . I won’t feel anything during liposuction. He said during injection i won’t feel pain, but i will probably feel a little bit of pressure because my butt will be expanding. But since i am not getting a ton of fat objected it won’t be bad.
He said that since i already have scars from lower back dermal piercing, he will use those for the incisions that he have to make.

I also asked him what should i eat, & he said just stay away from salty foods and eat a lot of protein. The protein has amino acids that help you recover faster. I also read that pineapples and blueberries are anti inflammatories, so i’ll be eating them too.

I told him that i was going to be blogging my recovery journey and asked if there was anything he doesn’t want me to talk about (like pricing or anything) and he said no. He just wants me to be 100% honest about the procedure and recovery, that’s all. I thought that was really cool. He also thanked me for asking even though i didn’t have to.

Oh, he also told me that I will only need to take one week off of work, but i took two anyway just in case. I’d rather be safe than sorry.

I also asked him how long do you have to wait to have sex afterwards & he said whenever you feel comfortable. He even joked & said there’s a “convince hole” in the hooha area of the garment for fun activities lol.

Overall the preop appt went good and was very informative. I was super nervous & idk why lol it all became so real so fast. but now i’m just waiting on nov 1st to get here lol

I’ll be picking up a few items from walmart & will update you all on everything i get & include pics of everything on the next update.
