I AM BEYOND IRATE. I received a proposal with the date 4/5. ALL I CAN SAY IS THAT I am beyond disappointed with Dr. Hazani's office.

Yes. Someone had a cancellation apparently. And they gave me a date. and it was a day before my birthday so you can imagine my frustration. Their issue to me makes no sense. I was paying CASH for my surgery and was going to deposit the money directly into their bank account. Apparently, some "red flag" came up and they were concerned about compromising their bank account... I don't see nor understand why a background check would even matter as long as they were being paid. Needless to say, another payment option wasn't given to me. I would have volunteered to fly out their pay them cash before the surgery and let that be that. I cancelled my appointment in the bay area, forfeited 50% of 14k, booked my travel, booked my hotel, made arrangements for my daughter and they said [RS bleep] me.

I paid cash, with a debit card, from out of state. I'm trying to understand what happened here?

Im sorry you had to go through all that? Thas some crazy ish about the "background check". U should of just got one of those pre-paid debit cards.. Deposit ur cash in there.. And then just pay them through the debit card to make it easier. I am sure all of this will be resolved. Once ur date gets closer you will be all set. Don't let something that the frontdesk messed up on change ur decision in choosing Dr. Hazani

I don't know what the "red flag" could be. I could easily fly to la and pay the cash. Its crazy how I wasn't even given any other option. um, does anyone have any other suggestions because now it's just frustrating :(

Me too. I really don't understand either. I cried because I am so frustrated, confused, and upset. I guess, when I called they had a cancellation. I got a date, consult, and all I was left to do is make payment. I don't have a card with a $9500 limit so I offered to pay cash or pay the day before surgery because it was so soon. But they said I could work out the payments with Gary the office guy. Then he sent me an email, with the proposal date requested my date of birth for the clinic. I signed the doc, sent it in pdf form and requested banking info at 1pm. No response. I emailed him back as I was walking around with 10 thou in my purse and no response. So I called the office, he was on another call. I waited no response and then I called at 4pm. Debbie asked me for a couple questions pertaining to surgery, emergency contact info and I asked her how come Gary hasn't sent me any deposit info. 503pm I get an email that says. I have to apologize we do not have a spot for you... WTF!!! I called back and Debbie answered and Gary took my call. He didn't even have the decency to call me directly. Now he gave me some run around about not having the date. I am smart enough to know that is BS because that date was on the proposal. Whether he gave it to someone else, I didn't know. I was so frustrated I almost started crying. I cancelled my appointment in the bay area, forfeited my 50% deposit of 15k for that surgery, booked travel to LA, paid for my room, and made arrangements for my kid. Because conversation was that this date was set aside. Because it was so soon I took care of everything I thought I needed to do. I hung up on Gary because he wasn't making any sense to me, and quite frankly seemed very in-compassionate to my particular situation. Dr Hazani, after 2 texts messages to the phone he called me on to do the consult called me back. I can say that he was very nice, but at the end of the day didn't help with a resolution. He is the surgeon, but I also know he runs the show. He kept putting it off on his office because he said he is just the doctor and the office just handles everything. Dr. Hazani just said, what Gary didn't mention, was that there was a "red flag" because it had to do with a wire just days before surgery. I offered to fly to LA and pay cash tomorrow but he said nothing. I get it, my funky 10k doesn't mean anything to a Beverly Hills Doctor. But my issue was there was no resolution or no other payment options. Lets be clear- I have made some mistakes in my past. I am not a terrorist, a child abuser in any form, and do not have any violent or drug crimes, but what the F does a past have to do with getting an A**. lol. I have such a headache that I want to cry. I don't get why another option wasn't given. I wasn't given another date or option to pay a different way.

I put the cash in my checking account and paid with my debit card. I tried to pay the "square" invoice Gary sent about 3 times but wouldn't go thru because too much $$. I guess Chase has like a $3K limit? So I had to call my bank to get pre auth for the total amount. Then emailed Gary and he sent "another" invoice and my payment finally went through. It was kind of a pain but didn't really take that long. I guess a lot of people make smaller payments but I just waited till 2 weeks before. They normally want payment in full 2 weeks before or they remove you from the schedule. hth

I get it. They don't want to be jerked around about their paper. But my frustration is that Gary just made it seem like it was scheduling issues and not a payment issue. Again, I wasn't given any options. I was supposed to come to LA this coming Monday. I am so freaking confused.

Do you have any other doctors to look into? I had my heart set on him but I am starting to feel like they are doing too much when all I am trying to do is pay the cash.

Since you've already got so much prepared and out so much $$ if it was me I would try to make it work. If you want the bbl he is very good imo. I am 8 weeks and look better almost daily. His lipo is excellent and he has a very good artistic eye for the female body. I researched for a while before I found him and I came from out of state. You still have time to make it happen if you want. The office can be a little annoying and I think they are swamped right now, but the doctor is worth it I think. Good luck!

I didn't find anyone who's work I liked better. At least not in the US, and I wasn't ready to do all that. I have heard excellent things about Dr Beck in the bay area?

I would definitely work something out asap. So are they not giving you that date 4/5 anymore? Gary is usually really good with sending invoices through square. I never had an issue. Although like ClassicCurves said.. My payment from my bank only were able to pay 3k per transaction. So I made payments weekly till paid off.
If you really are re-considering doctors you can try Dr. Hughes in Beverly Hills, or other option would be Miami. Man oh Man.. Dr. Fisher be snatching them waist LOL if only it wasn't too far.... Miami is sooo much cheaper like $3k-5k then you also have to think about recovery house or hotel out there too. Hope everything works out with the office though. Dr. Hazani is a great surgeon.. Their staff just seems overly stressed or overly booked up.

Or if anything just deposit the cashier's check to their bank so u have paper trail as well since it will show the remitter's name which is you. Good luck and advance happy birthday!

it was actually 9,500. A SSN was never given, and I wasn't wiring it. I was trying to deposit it directly in their account.

I would just ask Gary if you can just deposit cashiers check. That would be the best option for you and to protect yourself as well so u have paper trail of your payment.
