1 1/2 post op bbl round 1. Round 2 scheduled for May 2nd.

I had my first bbl surgery back in June 2015. I say first bbl surgery because I'm planning on having my second one in a few months. About a year and a half ago I decided to go with Dr Sejal Patel out of Beverly Hills, CA for a my surgery. My best friend friends cousin had the surgery done by him and I saw pictures and inquired the next day. First and for most I did not do any research before having my BBL surgery. I have to say that I DO regret not doing any research or consulting with any other surgeons other than Patel. I am now planning on having round 2 with Dr. Fisher (have done lots of research since 2015) in February 2017. Anyways back to Patel... When I consulted with Dr. Patel I was really impressed with the surgical coordinators. They were nice and informative although I cant remember any of their names as they changed a few times throughout the entire process. The only thing I can say is that I felt safe. I paid $15K to feel safe and get a little tiny extra shape. The morning of my surgery I was extremely excited that I was finally going to get the butt I had always dreamed of. All I wanted was to fit in my clothes comfortably without that square shaped booty. Now I realize that I should of told the doctor exactly what I wanted because my results were a ultimately a disappointment. I cant say that it was a complete failure because I weighed approx 173lbs pre op so I wasn't in the best shape... When I first consulted with Patel he told me to loose about 6 lbs because he could only take out so much fat out of my mid section and back, so I should of had a more realistic expectations...? The night before my surgery I stayed at the Beverly Hilton. It's located very close to the surgery center right in the heart of Beverly Hills. I live in the Bay Area so I flew right into LAX the nigh before, rented a suburban , and planned on having my friend drive back right after surgery. Thank god for her, she drives me home from all of my surgeries. My surgery was scheduled for 6:30 am. The good thing about Dr. Patel and all of the surgeons in California is that they only schedule 1-2 surgeries a day. That is one thing you can't expect from doctors out of the country or in other parts of the country. The minute I fell asleep from the anesthesia I felt like I woke up immediately and it was all over with. When I arrived back in the Bay Area I knew the minute I crawled out of the truck to walk into the house that my but wasn't big enough. I was extremely disappointed. I felt like I just wasted $15K. The upside was that the pain wasn't that bad. You just have to stay on your stomach for so long. The lipo feel super tight and can be uncomfortable at times. That is where most of the discomfort comes from. Ladies make sure you have a lot of stuff to watch and read because you will be on your stomach for at least 2 weeks. And start walking as soon as you can because you get winded fast so if you practice early on in the post op stages you won't get as winded so quickly. All in all my results were under whelming to say the least. I don't necessarily blame the doctor, I blame myself. I've found out the expensive way that California surgeons are conservative and most doctors in the Bay Area/ Los Angeles don't have results like other parts of the country. I'm not sure if its certain laws restricting the amount of fat taken out at a time but based on my research and all of the photos I've seen on RS, the doctors in Cali don't give you that snatched waist and round booty. When you pay $15K you want your results to be noticeable. I plan to have round 2 done in Feb 2017 so stayed tune!
