Over the past 7 years, I've lost 60 lbs. I went from ~200 lbs to 140 at my lowest, but climbed back up to 150 at the time of my surgery. For reference, I'm 5'7" and my BMI is considered healthy. In spite of this, I still had a size 14 plus-size waist. It was so frustrating because losing weight from my abs and chest has been basically impossible. My body just looked disproportionate because I had a thick midsection, but very thin arms/legs and a flat butt. Classic apple shape. For my BBL, I had my entire abdomen, flanks, mons pubis, back, and axilla areas treated. I was told Dr. Dass took out 4200 ccs of fat (I think) and injected 1200 ccs in each cheek.

I had a breast reduction in March 2016 and lower abdomen liposuction in April 2017, so I thought I was prepared to deal with the pain of a BBL. This surgery is NO JOKE. The first 12 hours following the surgery, I was pretty sore. However, it was manageable thanks to the tumescent fluid still in my system. After that wore off, I felt like death. The Percocet helps, but only if I take 2 pills every 4-5 hours. So make sure you're mentally prepared for that because it is truly a full-body ordeal! Also, you will have LOTS of drainage. Make sure you have layers of old towels ready or else you will have big stains in your couch/bed. Finally, I thought not being able to sit or sleep on my back would be hard, but it's really not that bad. The hardest part for me has been getting in and out of bed.

I'm just starting day 2 of post-op, so I haven't been able to take off the shapewear just yet... but I can already see a huge different in my shape! I'm SO EXCITED and already pleased with my results!! I will definitely take and upload post-op pics as I continue to recover.

Pain and swelling have been getting increasingly worse. The compression garment feels like it’s 10x too small. I was able to take a shower today, and that was nice. It was good to feel fresh again! But definitely make sure to take it slow because you will experience some intense dizziness and ringing in your ears. Otherwise, just applied fresh neosporin and bandaids to the incisions, arnica gel to the rest of the treated areas, and put my compression garments foams back on. The foams are pretty critical to getting an even result. They were put on awkwardly right after surgery and I had a deep indent in my stomach as a result.
