I thought about having a face lift for three years...
There is no better way to say it than the post op course is rough. With all I had read, I was not fully prepared (emotionally) for the full impact of a face lift. There is a profound adjustment phase as you view the impact of the surgery and wonder if you've made the right decision. It does NOT hurt, there is little or no pain but the fatigue, the horror of seeing your face, the bruising is something you have to contend with. This is the second phase of when it becomes CRITICAL to have the support of your surgeon. Would I do this again? Now I can say ABSOLUTELY, the results exceeded my expectation by far.
Provider Review
Dr. Pearson is AMAZING. He is an outstanding person and a skilled physician. He has EXCELLENT hands, is very gentle and calm. I was actually laughing on my way to the OR! I have NEVER known a physician with a better bedside manner (and I'm an RN). You always feel like you are his ONLY patient - he NEVER rushes you and always takes the time to explain things when you are ready to hear and when you enter a new phase of recovery - he KNOWS his stuff. I cannot recommend a better surgeon or person to make this journey with you. Some examples of his dedication to his patients - he is ALWAYS available to you - he will answer any question you have with respect and honesty. His integrity is unparalleled in my experience. He sees his patients as individuals and truly cares about you. He calls you EVERY day post-op for weeks. You can depend on it. You NEVER wait for your appointment more than about 5 minutes and he opens his office on weekends if you need to see him. He is BEYOND accessible. I think this is a VERY important aspect of the recovery. There are always bumps when you have surgery and cosmetic surgery has a profound emotional component. It was very comforting to know that what I was going through was expected, normal and that Dr. Pearson was there to guide me through it. He's a fine, giving individual and is dedicated to his patients.
