A longer review posted

At the Dr. review a longer review was posted as my old review about the Doctor was not explained properly. I wrote the long review to be on the Doctors page but it came under the treatment. Hence updating both.

I did acne scar revision with Dr Emer on 03/06/17....

I did acne scar revision with Dr Emer on 03/06/17. From the time I booked the appointment, I had a feeling that it's all but marketing. I did my phone consultation with Dr Emer sometime back in February( even though I was told it will be a Skype consultation , Emer didn't bother to do a video calling and he said he can very well see my scars from the pictures I sent ) . He hardly spent 7 minutes over the phone and talked me into a treatment package. The phone consultation fee was $150.
I am not new to acne scar revision. I have spent considerable time , effort and money on the same in the past. The patient coordinator called me and talked about two packages : package 1: microneedling ($ 250), intensif microneeling ($1500), TCA cross ($250), subscision ($250) , erbium yag laser resurfacing ( $750), Bellafill filler ( $1500) and PRP ($750)
Package 2 : they kept everything and changed erbium yag to CO2 laser for around $3000.
I chose package 1 and opted out of PRP.
Even though I asked the patient coordinator why they have to do intensif and microneedling separate( intensif itself is microneedling, there's no need for the regular microneedling if you r doing
Intensif or infini ), I dint get any good answers. As I was all awed by his instagram posts , I was ready to let it go and get the treatment done with Dr Emer.
Day of the treatment -03/06/17
I went in for the procedure. They took pictures at different angles. I was taken to the procedure room after applying topical numbing cream for an hour, doc came in. There is NO angled lighting in the room. Doctor Emer did all my procedures in normal
light( In normal lighting it's hard to see any of my scars properly). He started with TCA cross. Afterwards I could see many of my ice pick scars were untouched by TCA and obviously I didn't get any result.
He injected Bellafill also in normal lighting and all of my atrophic scars were not injected. He said he did subscion along with Bellafill injection but the rolling / box scar where I needed the subscion was not done. ( obviously I was charged $250 for subscion though most of other plastic surgeons don't charge you separate for subsion if they r doing the filling ). I never felt he did the regular microneedling but I was charged ($250) for that as well. Intensif was the only thing I felt he covered all over my face. He charged ($1500) for it. Across USA you can find docs for much lesser price than that. Finally erbium yag laser resurfacing was also done and he was out. For all these procedures he spent less than 30 minutes with me and I was charged ~$4800.
After 2-3 weeks doc Emer called to check about the results of the treatment and I told him about my concerns that I felt Bellafill was not injected at my atrophic scars and TCA was not placed properly, he went very defensive and said I would need life long treatments for my acne scars.
I was asked by his aesthetician to buy products worth $1000 and I turned down most of them as I knew I could get the similar composition at a fraction of the cost. Even then they talked me into buying products worth $200.
He makes a lot of instagram videos. I hardly got any results after spending 5k.

Hardly spent any time listening to my concerns. Was in a hurry all the time. I was in an out in 30 minutes. Not very receptive to my comments after the treatment, in fact was very defensive.
