Dr. Emer is very knowledgeable in the bellafill product- it is injected in very small amounts near acne scars. I combined it with viva laser therapy and that definitely added to the results. I attached a couple before and after pics of myself which show the results of these procedures. (pictures taken a few months apart).

Nice results. Did your physician also do subcision prior to the fillers? It's usually necessary if the scars are tethered down, as many scars (especially rolling scars) tend to be. Also, are you aware that Bellafill is a semi-permanent filler (usually lasts about 5 years) and can cause nodules in some people at some point later on? I've been told that Silikon 1000 Microdroplet procedure is the better route to take, once you've tried other avenues to improve scarring. It would be great if you could periodically update your review to show how things are holding up. Best of wishes!

You must have the two fillers mixed up. Silikon 1000 was reported with the most nodules, swelling and complication. It must be done by professionals who's had many years of experience and success using it. Bella fill, in the past, was the same. That's why a skin test is require now before getting injected. I'd do my research again on silikon if that's something you're considering. I've been told by a few physicians to not do anything that's permanent. Which makes my life a living hell somedays because I've seen people who benefited from the fillers and I've been considering bellafill for a while now. One of the plastic surgery office in my city doesn't offer bellafill. I asked why and one of the PA told me they'd rather not do anything that's permanent.

Nope. I do NOT have the two fillers mixed up. If you will re-read, I said that I was told (by physicians) that the Silikon 1000 Microdroplet PROCEDURE is the better route to take. It is the deliverance of the filler that makes the difference. Read this: http://www.newyorksocialdiary.com/beauty-wellness/2016/microdroplets-of-silicone

I've done plenty of research and will not consider Bellafill at this time. I've read quite a few reviews where the person got nodules from it.

Did your scars remain full the entire time or did it have to build itself up. I recently got bellafill and the first 4 days with viva they looked full and after my scars became visible again. I was told to wait 4 weeks and to be patient but spending lots of money on something can be nerve wrecking when the results disappear.
