Immediately after my consult, I knew Dr. Gerald Minniti and his team where for me. Jodi's wonderful and down-to-earth, albeit professional, phone demeanor was what got me through the door but then she, Gail, and Dr. Minniti sealed the deal. Dr. Minniti is compassionate, caring, personable, FUNNY, honest, and prides himself on creating natural-looking and aesthetic breasts. After sizers and a VERY thorough consult, he and I decided on highly cohesive shaped implants. (330 CC Mentor shaped implants were appropriate for me, but as Dr. Minniti will inform you, it's just a number and can vary from patient to patient). The ONLY thing I regret is not having found Dr. Minniti 5 years ago!!!! Seriously, I feel so much more confident with my new BABIES-- which on top of looking great, FEEL GREAT, TOO!!! (Scarring?? MINIMAL, NOT-EVEN-noticeable inframmamory scars! Nada!!! Whoopie for me!!!!!!)
My consult and subsequent surgery were scheduled very close to each other. (I think about 2 weeks apart), and Gail, the patient coordinator, even encouraged me to think about it and call her back, perhaps to ensure that I was ready to go through with it and so I didn't feel pressured to make an impulsive decision. I called her back the next day and scheduled. The truth is that, for some time, (read: yearssss!), I had been scouring the net in my quest to find the right doctor, and I knew I finally found that in Dr. Minnitti.
Actual surgery day was a surprisingly positive experience, too! I was made soooo comfortable prior to anesthesia, and then before I knew it, I was done! Just a little discomfort on my way home and for a few days, but by day 3 I was driving locally around town. I am now 7 months post op and still seeing Dr. Minniti for a few more post ops. (No complications, whatsoever, but he loves checking up on his patients' progress because he REALLY DOES CARE!)
If I had to do it all over again, I would do it in a heartbeat! And much, much sooner. Dr. Minniti is the whole package, --honest and truly, truly gifted with surgical expertise and KNOWLEDGE! His responses to questions here on Real Self were also instrumental in me gaining confidence in him.
