Ive been suffering from acne scars for several years, have had peels and some mild lasers but after a recent hormonal breakout and being tired of having to cover up my face with foundation I wanted a change. I found Dr Emer online and had a consult with him in which he suggested to combine several treatments : clear and brilliant for both acne breakouts and scars, microneedling for collagen production and using Venus viva on cheeks only (where my scars are the deepest), he also suggested PRP but that was a very big additional cost so I decided to just go with the first 3 and got 2 sessions of this 3 step combo 4 weeks apart. Unfortunately, results are far from satisfying, as you will see from the pictures there is no difference and maybe even slight deepening of some scars after the microneedling. I am sure this works for others but in my case it was useles.
I will likely either need many more sessions or a different treatment (he has suggested RF Intensif) but I guess considering the cost of treatment I was expecting at least a mild improvement in scars.
I still highly trust and recommend this doctor and my disappointment is it towards him rather towards the treatment which just wasn't the right one for me and I wish I could've known that before spending so much, hopefully I will find a more suitable approach!

I apreciate your honesty! and your review of me. however, i want others to know that Clear and Brilliant is not a treatment for acne scarring. it is a low downtime alternative to larger procedures like co2 laser, erbium laser, and deep microneedling/RF (intensif/infini) to help improve the complexion but it wont treat acne scarring. clear and brilliant needs at least 6-10 treatments even for melasma. viva is great for scars but needs to be used strong and takes 3-6 treatments to see improvement. so for others who are researching acne scarring treatment, your type of scars really needs deeper treatments over the course of time in combination. fillers are also needed for deep scarring. so the approach you chose to take, which has a low downtime, is great for complexion and mild acne scarring improvement but would need many treatments to see any long term permanent outcome. i spend a lot of time discussing this with my patients and what the expectations should be for the treatments they have. i appreciate your honesty but I think more information is needed for those who want to make an educated decision about what treatments they should do and the type of doctor they should go to. you really need much stronger, more downtime procedures to get improvement in these scars and it would take multiple treatments of that to see improvement. thanks again for a nice review!!

Thank you for your response Dr Emer! I knew I couldn't get a full improvement with these methods but that is not what I expected, I was told that I could expect a 50% improvement in 3 sessions which is why I chose this approach. I was looking for a mild improvement and would have been happy with even a 30% improvement but after the 2nd session it just seemed to be a little worse which is why I didn't continue. Anyways, acne scars are complex to get rid of and this wasn't the right approach for ME, still hoping to find a better combo and have confidence I will rid myself of these tenacious scars with your help!

What a waste of money. I'm so sorry you fell for Dr. Emer's BS. I see there have been many other reviews by his patients for scar treatments that didn't work. It's sickening.
