I wanted to write a Yelp review to help others make a tough decision an easy one. If you're in search of a plastic surgeon to have liposuction performed look no further, Dr. Emer is hands down the best. I felt like I was on an episode of Nip Tuck for any of you that remember the show. He has a laid back atmosphere playing cold play in the background. I caught myself singing while he was removing fat and contouring my body. I really liked that he was very meticulous when removing my fat. He would take a moment look at the area and decide if he needed to do more or move on to the next area of my body. He really took time to critique his own work before moving forward. He is just like an artist painting his next master piece. Dr. Emer checked with me through the entire procedure making sure I was comfortable and not in any pain. There are some areas that are more sensitive than others, so expect some discomfort, but for the most part it tickled me :). Of course, Im still swollen and wont see my final results yet but I noticed the immediate result in my chest area. Please don't try to save money and select a doctor that says they can do this type of procedure for much less $$. Remember this statement "you get what you pay for". Dr. Emer goes above and beyond to get you the ultimate result. I will most likely being seeing him for botox now. Thanks again Dr. Emer you're the best.

Do you have nay pics?

Believe it or not, I actually had a Dr tell me that. I had laxil surgery at a cut rate establishment and my vision was worst than before surgery. The well qualified MD I went to afterwards made that statement and then went on to tell me how he would TRY to correct what had been done. He told me that the end results could b worse than I then had. I had him correct only one eye to see if the corrections would help. They did and 2 years later I had him do the second eye. So as u and he both said, "u get what u pay for". If it is ur body or ur eyesight be careful in ur selection of Dr and facility. I am glad u r already see in the results u had hoped for. Congrats.

Can you post a before pic? I just did mine two days ago for $7200 and i can see the difference already. Dr. Emer was one of my initial choices, but i felt the $150 initial fee wasnt worth it.

I am extremely upset that you are unhappy. But, I also feel this review is not at all accurate and feel the need to describe my reasons. I have reached out to you on numerous occasions through email and even called you many times in the past 10 months to have you come back for appointments and for me to see your progress (not to mention even offered you an area of free botox on Feb 3, 2015 because we really wanted to see you in the office after your procedure). My patients know how much I care about them, their results, and how much I value my work. Also, as you can see from my other reviews, photos, youtube, instagram and facebook .. I take pride in my work and in my care for my patients and their long terms goals. I want everyone to know that you emailed me last week saying you were unhappy 10 months after your procedure and this communication included a recent photograph. I replied that I'd love for you to come into the office to see your results, compare the before and after photos (which we still have to take and review together), and see if something could be done. That options included potentially more liposuction (with a different approach), a new trainer/diet/supplements, or other alternatives. In fact, below is copy of the recent email I sent you on Aug 3, 2015 that I'd like for others to see, as your review doesn't accurately describe my recent response to you:

"hey MG, congrats about the baby girl!! that is so fantastic. I have reached out to you a few times to come in for follow up visits. I can never track a persons progress over the internet alone and its been so long. there is a lot that goes into changing of a persons body , including exercise, diet, hormones etc. i know we got an amazing results from the liposuction, but there may be more going on with your workouts, diet, internal stress hormones etc. i even recently had my second liposuction done to get more of the look ive wanted; while also hiring a personal trainer, nutritionist, and antiaging physician to get me the ultimate results. as you know, surgery is only one part of the process. id gladly see you in the office and go over a full evaluation of your body, take post operative photos and talk with you about what you can do at this point. please come back in and see me, my concierge caller laura is cc'd on this email as is my surgical coordinator melissa. they will gladly get you an appointment to see me and we can have a discussion about whether more surgery is needed, a new trainer, a better diet, an internal evaluation for homones etc. im so happy for you and your family and even moreso will be glad to see you back in the office.

As you can see from my other reviews and my love and passion for what I do, my patients develop relationships with me and if they are unhappy they communicate and we work together to make things better. I have before photos that I would gladly review with you showing a significant difference compared to the photo you sent me the other day. It is upsetting that instead of communicating with me and coming into the office, discussing your concerns and being upfront about what your current goals are, you decided to write a poor review about my care. I put 100% of my passion into my work, and I am one of the only doctors in Los Angeles who does this type of lipocontouring ... as well as providing personalized, concierge care and supplemental care with connections to trainers, antiaging doctors, massage therapists etc. Its extremely disappointing to think you couldn't come to me or our my staff, who cares about your outcomes and your friendship, and discuss your current situation -- but rather, you would give me a poor review online. With that said, I really do hope you find what you are looking for and if it is more liposuction, that you find a person who understands your goals, will help you achieve them and will give you the type of personalized care you deserve. I also hope you will follow up with the appropriate visits with that physician and take the follow up photos and develop a long term relationship with them so you keep the goals you are seeking. I take pride in my work, in my care for patients, in my passion for teaching, and I want others to know that this review is not an accurate reflection of my services, talent, or dedication to my craft. It's very difficult to judge your results without a before picture. It would be really helpful if you could put up your before pictures as well. Thank you!
