1 week Post Op
Hooray made it to one week the worst is over! Woke up feeling good and went for a walk. I had slowly become very concerned about my right leg (after the liposuction of my inner thigh) it had been very sore from the day of surgery & my foot felt numb (like it had no blood flow) my leg had pins & needles which seemed to be feeling worse each day. As Dr Dhir was out of the office he got me in to see his business partner Dr Ghavami which was very caring & kind of both surgeons. Dr Ghavami recommended warm Epsom salt baths, which hazel pressing & arnica tablets - so I will follow his instructions. Today I also had my first shower & washed my face gently. It felt great! I took my nose tape off myself then re taped it after my shower. My face is still very swollen. I cannot smile or laugh yet. Mouth movement is minimum but will improve each day!
Day 6 - Stitches Out
Day 6 I was again feeling good. The worst pain I had was the compression garment which really hurt my ears & kept me awake! I went back to Dr Dhir's office to have my stitches out - this was done by Dr Dhir's nurse Gaby. Gaby was absolutely incredible, kind & patient. I was very scared to have the tape & stitches removed and cried ALOT! Gaby did not rush or pressure me at all. It took well over an hour because I kept stopping Gaby & needing a brake. Once it was done I felt sooo much better! I could not wish for a nicer nurse than Gaby! By this day I was taking no medication at all other than my antibiotics & healthy foods. I also went to a hairdresser & had my hair washed as it still had blood from the surgery in it.
Day 5 Post Op - Cast & tube removal
Day 5 I starting feeling much better. I went back to Dr Dhir to have my cast & tubes removed. I just want to add this was a Sunday & Dr Dhir opened the office & came in just for me!! What a legend!!!! :) now I'm not going to sugar coat it. Having the tubes & cast removed bloody hurt!!!! But dr Dhir was very fast & just got it done! I started feeling much better after it was finished! As far as results go it was still to early to make judgements yet.
