You had very difficult complex lower eyelid problems including lower eyelid retraction and scar lumps from unsuccessful prior fat injection and lower eyelid transcutaneous blepharoplasty (by other surgeons). We definitely treated the lower eyelid retraction using skin graft and removed the scar lumps. As discussed before, skin graft is not a perfect match and it takes a year to heal. Please continue to followup as necessary.
10 months after surgery
He said the lid would get better, but the sharp is still totally imbalance more than before the surgery. Time can help the skin grafting’s colour but not the shape and the ugly scar line.
I consulted other doctors and they said the skin grafting from Dr. Taban is ridiculous and not essential. Doctor explained that Dr. Taban sewed my eye’s corner making the shape changed permanently, It couldn’t go back.
And the most shameless thing is, I just find Dr. Taban using my picture to promote his business in YouTube but I can tell you all the result is not truth and misleading. In video, he just show you he took 10% lump and he thinks the job was done successfully. The truth is, it couldn’t help any.
Why doesn’t he shows the “perfect “ skin grafting job in video also?

I was trying to self-deception I will be better, but I know my body, do you think it gonna 80% same with left eye after 1 year? its just a tricky thing when the doctor failed his job and convince patient keep waiting. (I can send you processing photos like 1 ~3 week1~3 month if you want)
Photos told truth, welcome to judge, I don't want to show my ugly face here after surgery but I have to warn somebody. I am not going to stop you guys, but something cant go back. Think clearly. He is really good at marketing but he didnt check me thoughtfully.
I paid more than 10k and the result like this, I am very regret.
I wish I could pay more 10k if I can go back. my eye is rigid, and more tight, more puffy.

Background: I had fat transferred overfill under eyes and tried to fix it through surgery but it went wrong by unprofessional doctor. I had two problems, fat lumps still there and leaves scar under my right eye. And I swore I need to find oculoplastic surgeon to fix it. Then I found Dr. Taban here with lots of good reviews. And he always answer peoples overfilled fat lumps could be debulked by tranconjuntival surgery. We set up Skype call and he declared confident to fix my right side 80% same with my left side, but he couldn’t guarantee to debulk fat lumps, maybe 50%. —————— And then I flew 12 hours from HongKong to LA and looked for Dr. Taban’s help. In consultation before the day of surgery, he said skin graft surgery from my ear to my right eyelid is necessary and benefit to my case. So I trusted that because I did believe he is professional and provide best plan to patients always. I had surgery by Dr. Taban in July, but I am regret about the result. Now my eyelids are asymmetric, and obvious fake, eye shape is changed and the fold is terrible. Check the photos. I am very clear it will not big improve by time in the future. I considered for a long time and finally I take courage to write this review to post my before &after photos. No peoples want to show their fail ugly face here, me either. But I just want to warn peoples who are choosing doctor carefully. I spent my money make it worse, and I become a real monster after the surgery.
