I did a lot of research on Vanquish and visited several clinics for opinions. The suggestions came back for Vanquish, CoolSculpt, or various others (Liposonix I think.) I ultimately selected Vanquish for the decent reviews and non-invasive procedure. I purchased it as a holiday special through a clinic in Bethesda, Maryland, called the Parker Medical Group.

The consultation and the staff were great. And we ended up doing five full sessions. Even the procedures were great. A little bit of heat and discomfort during the process; it essentially feels like your fat is being microwaved or touching a radiator furnace, very warm and tingly under the applicator. The biggest challenge for me was to lie still enough for the full 45 minutes. You can really feel it working and moving around the various areas. Afterward, the redness and puffiness of my belly would persist for a few hours, getting noticeably less inflamed with each session. And I would feel very warm for a few hours, a bit like after being in a hot tub or sauna. The next day things would be back to normal with the exception of a sensation a bit like a sunburn for a couple of days with no peeling or redness.

It's been six months since the last appointment and I'm sad to say there's not really been any change. I think I was affecting things by really tightening down on diet and exercise. There was a brief glimmer there where I thought I'd lost a half-inch. But by and large I'm the same size and shape I was before we started.

Please note that I'm a fairly fit guy. I lost 75+ lbs over several years and wanted to target the "excess" skin and fat. But from what I read, this may be more helpful for folks with more weight to lose than I had. My belly is such that when I'm lying down for the treatment, it's almost concave and therefore sort of hard for the radio waves to penetrate it. It felt mostly like it was only working on the top of the edge of the belly and then my flank areas.

I suppose I was expecting it to be too good to be true! And it looks like it was. At least for a guy who is 5-7lbs of goal weight and looking to shred that last little bit of flab. At this point it looks like ruthless diet and proper weight training are what'll end up doing it.

Good luck and hopefully my experience will help you!

Revka and Dr. Parker were great! Very knowledgeable and helpful. Always friendly and very focused on their patients. They are running a smaller, boutique sort of shop and were very accommodating of weekend schedules and such. I can't fault them for the procedure or my particular experience as I only have my one sample to judge from. Perhaps they have better luck overall with Vanquish and other patients. I would say you should at least check them out for an opinion, especially with other treatments. They are great as an office and practice.

Thanks for sharing your experience.  Your update is definitely helpful to the community.  Many users ask what happens to their body after this type of procedure.  This video explains the post-procedure process.  I hope it helps.
