Surgeon - Tim Brown 465cc Over muscle Sub-fascial...
So I booked in my surgery and started the countdown of 70 days to go.
465cc over the muscle, sub-fascial (over the muscle).
Current bra size without padding 34B to 32C.
I have wide breasts which were naturally very flat (like pancakes) I started to get obsessed with the stories on Real Self and reading the Q&A section continuously. Why am I being like this? And where has all this anxiety come from!? I began to convince myself that it was going to hurt based on what I had read. So I started to get very nervous. Too nervous in fact that I couldn’t stop thinking about it and it took over my whole day. I was ready to cancel at one point, about a week and a half before surgery. I wanted to know if Tim Brown used Local Anaesthetic and block the pain from the surgery, after speaking with his team, they said that he does. So here were the questions that kept me up most nights and I thought I would answer them honestly in this review. Every person is different and what I experience could be extremely different for someone else of the same age, build etc
Does it hurt having overs (Sub-fascial)?
Answer: Yes and No. It didn’t hurt as much as I thought it would. I woke up in no pain from surgery. The only time it hurt was when i moved from a laying position, but it was tolerable with pain killers.
Will I freak out when I wake up from surgery at the weight on my chest?
Answer: Hahahaha no I didn’t freak out at all. I didn’t even feel the tightness that you often hear of. There was no heaviness that was overwhelming either. I laugh at how worked up I was getting.
Does it hurt in the mornings?
Answer: Everything swells at night, so I read that taking the pain medication before bedtime will help ease the “Morning boob” pain. It doesn’t hurt when I lay still, it only hurts when I move suddenly. I find that when I get up and walk around the pain stops within minutes.
Does it cause shooting spasms that will hurt?
Answer: The shooting pains aren’t that bad really, after taking a normal panadol they tend to disappear.
Will I be able to move my arms after surgery?
Answer: Yes I was! This was a surprise to me. Keeping the arm movements small, but I was still able to use my arms quite freely.
Will the weight of the implants pull at the stitches and weaken them and then they could pop open?
Answer: No, because there is three layers of stitching before the outer layer of skin gets stitched together. So there won’t be any weakening of the outside stitches to come apart. I walk around with no bra and it feels fine.
I’ll share the list that I made for hospital and aftercare;
* Movical (chocolate flavour with chilled water) for all the pain meds making you constipated, you need some assistance.
* Bio Oil - to help with scarring and stretch marks
* Light weight pants for hospital stay and trip home
* Zip up hoodie, button up shirts
* Thongs (flip flops)
* Dry Shampoo - because I’ll be washing my body but lifting my arms above my heads for the first few days is a no-go to wash my hair.
* Soups
* Travel pillow for sitting and resting elevated.
* I was advised no icepacks are needed and NO massaging the implants, which I read to be such a common thing on Real Self, every surgeon has their own advice so follows yours accordingly.
* Pain meds, back up. - I didn't need them in the end
Provider Review
Tim Brown was amazing. He reassured me and made the whole experience simpler then what my head was making it. He was funny and made the situation lighter and more fun to cope with. His team are lovely warm and caring and only want you to feel comfortable - they answer all questions even the silly ones. They were very professional. Overall it was a experience with less pain then what my brain was telling me and what I was panicked about. To be honest I’ve had period pains that are 10 times worse then the overall pain experienced. There is discomfort when I move from a laying position. But nothing that my body can’t handle at all. If I was to suggest any surgeon to get a breast augmentation I would only suggest Tim Brown, as he is so busy actually doing this particular surgery. Which was a very good sign to me. I was 1 of 5 girls that was having my boobs done with him on surgery day. He is very sort after with his technique and now I understand why. Hardly no pain for me and very second nature for him to conduct.
