When I got pregnant I gained about 45-50lbs. I’m only 5’2” and about 110lbs so it drastically stretched my stomach. I don’t want a tummy tuck so I’ve tried multiple different things. After spending about $6,000 on other treatments I heard of umbilicalplasty (belly button surgery) and figured it was worth a shot. So far I feel like it was worth it. Over the next few months the skin should settle and the rippling around my belly button should smooth out. Dr. Kaplan was very honest during my consultation and informed me that while I won’t get the best results, I will have a little bit of a change for the better. If I want the best result I would need to do a tummy tuck. But I’m hoping I’ll be happy with just this.

I feel the same way about my belly button. I had an umbilical hernia, and was back and forth about using my insurance to fix it, or paying out of pocket for the look I wanted. Opted for insurance since I couldn’t find cases similar to mine. Do you have pictures on how your healing?

I’d love to see updated pics as I’m considering the same surgery for the same reason. There are not enough reviews for this.
