How it works
- Our highly-trained Review Moderation team evaluates all reviews before they're published to ensure they're written by people like you and not a member of a doctor's office.
- This multi-step process takes up to 24 hours from review submission to publication.
- Doctors can't pay to have reviews removed or hidden.
- Reviews are only removed at the reviewer's request or if they violate our Terms of Service.

You Absolutely Want This.
I had LASIK done in December, 2017, at Sharpe Vision. My vision did improve. I had paid a little more at the time for the lifetime guarantee and was so happy that I did, just a few weeks later.
Because my vision wasn't optimal a few weeks after LASIK, we decided to schedule PRK, one eye at a time, to tweak my vision. This was included in their guarantee.
Like LASIK, the PRK procedure itself was painless. (PRK did, however, smell a bit.) I was asked if I'd like a bit of medication to help with anxiety (yes, please), but is hardly necessary. PRK isn't in the least bit uncomfortable Trust me - I'm allergic to pain. I'd tell you if it was uncomfortable in any way.
The discomfort with PRK comes later. Weepy, irritated, angry eyes. And no rubbing allowed. That's the hardest part, dabbing without rubbing.
I had each procedure on a Monday. A contact "bandage" was put on the eye and removed the following Friday. The procedures were done one month apart.
I'm one week post my second PRK procedure, this one to the left eye. As I key this, I'm wearing no glasses. My eye is still a little irritated and my vision is still a tiny bit hazy, but know from the right eye experience this phase is almost over. My right eye is pretty much perfect, just not yet quite as sharp as it was with contacts. I expect this will continue to improve a bit. As the weeks go by, my right eye gets better and better. I know my.left will, too.
Using the comfort drops has helped a great deal, but I'm now only using them a couple of times per day when I really feel it's needed. Today is my last day of using the prescription drops.
Being able to read without glasses or contacts is an amazing gift for these nearly 58 year old eyes.
You can't go wrong with paying for a lifetime guarantee - tweaks, if/when needed, at no additional charge. This is insurance you'll need if your eyes are young. If they're as old as mine, it's practically mandatory.
There was no upselling, no pressure, no "if you buy today" deals with this office. I wanted the best, not the cheapest. And, yet, Sharpe Vision has already saved me tons of money with the lifetime guarantee.
Bonus, I had a fairly rare type of glaucoma that Dr. Sharpe was able to treat between LASIK and PRK. Sudden blindness was not an option for me. So happy I went with the best available to me.
