Loving my new body. Wish I had done this years ago. About 8 weeks post

I have wanted a tummy tuck for the last few years,...

I have wanted a tummy tuck for the last few years, but surgery sounds so scary. I had saline implants done at 20years of age. Had kids since then and they desperately needed to be replaced. I have had a few consultations done through out the years but kept chickening out because I was scared of the scar. I workout consecutively and hasn't over weight but my stretch marks were worse than any I've ever seen. I had been getting Botox and filler by dr. Nicholas flugstad for a few months and we discussed the procedure a few times before I had an actual consultation. I discussed the idea with my husband (who is completely against cosmetic surgery) and he agreed to go to a consultation, but that didn't mean I could get it done. Dr. Flugstad explained to me and my husband that I had muscles torn because of the pregnancies and that I was a great candidate for he tummy tuck because of my excess skin and went over the procedure in detail. I was pretty adamant I didn't want a lift just an implant exchange and he recommended anatomical shaped silicone implants to give a little natural lift. I went from 425cc to 495cc implants as well. By the end of the consultation my husband was pretty impressed with everything Dr. Flugstad had to say that we set up a surgery date.
The first week was pretty tough. My implant exchange didn't hurt much at all. The tummy tuck was pretty brutal. Now I know from the first breast augmentation that I have a low pain tolerance so I was expecting this to be much worse. Going from a sitting to standing position was the most painful part. Dr. Flugstad constantly checked on me via phone text. He's very personable and you feel very comfortable asking anything. He explains everything thoroughly and I felt very prepared. I slept in a recliner for my first week. Week 2 I was back in my bed. Which my back was ready for. I slept on my side using a body pillow. By the end of the second week post-op I was feeling much better. The muscle repair is definitely what I was feeling more than anything. Each day is 1 step closer to feeling back to normal. I'm about 5 weeks post op and I couldn't be happier. My tummy is still a little swollen and it's still numb. However I am able to go about normal everyday activities mostly. Minus working out in the gym. I do walk 1-2 miles a day 5-6 times a week. Which Dr. Flugstad said was fine, I could even run. Which I have a few times. He wants me to wait until 3 months post op to get back in the gym with weights etc. my incision is very low, and very teeny thin. It's so much better than I thought it would be. I still have some of the tape residue which I've tried everything to remove it. Scrubbing and nail polish remover has helped a little bit.

Dr. Nicholas Flugstad is an AMAZING Doctor! I couldn't be happier with my results. I felt extremely comfortable asking any questions and well prepared with info about my procedure. Anessa his nurse is super caring and attentive as well. I couldn't be happier with my experience and I recommend him all the time to friends and family. I won't go anywhere else if I need anything else done in the future.
