I am a 5'5 135lb woman. But I wasn't always. I have always been overweight and with the birth of my first daughter I became obese. 200lbs was my highest weight. I was a single mom for about 2 years until I met the man who is currently my husband. This is going somewhere, I promise....
When he asked me to marry him I decided I would do anything to lose the weight before the wedding. I began doing weight watcher and I managed to lose 55lbs but it was a huge struggle. I got pregnant again and was back up to 175 after the baby. I was still doing WW but it wasn't working. This is when I was diagnosed with celiac disease. After that my weight just began to fall off and I ended up at about 140 for 3ish years. Now I follow a strict paleo diet and that has taken of the last 5lbs but between the obesity and the kids I look disfigured. I wear a six which fits in the hips and not in the stomach.
Then a few months ago I started seriously looking into doing Lipo for my abdominal area, and hips. I settled on a place called Athenix after visiting several other PS's in the Seattle area. It was suggested that I may be alright with just lipo but because of my stretch marks, which extend from my pubis to navel, a mini TT may work better. The PS took a lot of time with me and helped me make my decision but he was far from pushy. He and his assistant showed me several pictures of people who had both procedures and in the end I decided to have the TT.
So yesterday, May 22, 2012, I had a Mini TT with Lierweight but also sapo of the lower and upper abdominal area, thighs and hips. So far, so good. During the procedure the PS was having a difficult time with my hips. He said they were very fibrous and asked if I had previously been overweight. I said yes and explained that he finds fore fibrous tissue in those previously ovid that there was not much literature to back it up, but clinically, he sees a coorelation. That being said, I don't think will change the outcome, he just had to work herder to release the fat.
So anyway, the day of the procedure was pretty east. I had a "light" breakfast like the pre-op instructed. Half a burger and 1/4 avocado, thats just how I roll. Procedure at 11:00, two vicoden 5/325, 2 benzos (not sure strength) or name but they knocked me for a loop. I was in and out for most of the procedure with no anesthesia. Barely noticed a thing. Came home at 5 and took 2 more vicoden. Slept until about 1:30 am, pain was about a 7 of 10 so I took 2 more vicoden. Woke at 7:30 and took 2 more and waited 30 min before trying to get up . Not too much pain after that just really tired.
I will keep updating as the days go by and will upload pics from the PS.
