I am a 46 year old mother and wife, also a classical pianist.
In the past 10 years I had put on about 40 pounds out of which 20 I was loosing just to gain it back.
I saw my photos from my last concert and I could not believe my eyes. That look wasn't pretty> i had double chin and all my rolls of fat were coming out off my beautiful dress.
I had to do something. I tried Hcg shots, adipex and all possible supplements. I started to exercise but being so out of shape got me terribly discouraged.
I started looking into the option of liposuction as an instant yet painful and pretty expensive alternative.
I have read all the reviews for different neighborhood and visited 3 clinics. One of them had an unfortunate case of death. I did not like their sales person. Not only she looked like a plastic Barbie but also was not very professional and had me wait for her more then one hour and finally made me reschedule two appointments, or else I would have been late for work.
I have finally chose Athenix. Not only because of the decor but also of professionalism of all their personnel working there.
I came to my first consultation and a sales pitch.
It was cortious and very professional. Miss Elle Velasques explained all the detailed and gave me a specific set of instructions for pr- op and post-op and of course, she answered all my questions.
I felt safe and trusting choosing one of the Athenix doctor.
Dr. Bullis was the surgeon responsible for my successful surgery.
I have met him 2 weeks before my surgery. We talked about the results and realistic expectations.
He seemed experienced and knowledgeable in what he was doing.
The pre-op pictures were taken and measurements recorded.
The day of surgery I arrived at 8 am. I was all done by 1 :20 PM.
The nurse greeted me and asked to change. Doctor Bullis came few minutes later-and did some markings on my body.
I was asked to come to a cold surgery room and hopped on the table.
First, Dr Bullis inserted needle with anaesthetic, when that started kicking off then he make two small incisions and inserted tubes to suck of all the liquid and liquefied fat.
He later said he removed about 2 pounds of fat. Looks like my worst rolls of fat from my stomach and back were taken off.
All the incisions are healed and are barely visible by now. I was using some good scar cream which Athenix recommended.
First night was a nightmare and pain was really awful. I even had some regrets. On a third day I was able to return to work for just few hours. Dr. Bullis called me in the evening to check up on me and was very surprised to find me already working.
I have met Dr Bullis 2 more times for post-op check ups and I am very pleased with his work.
I am getting back in shape, exercising, running, biking, lifting weights. I am on my way.
I have to say, I have no regrets, but I am very happy I got my joy of life back.
Of course, there is always a room for even bigger improvement. For that I will go straight to Athenix.
