Day 1 Post op

Surgery went well, surgeon estimated 2.5-3 hours but was done in 2. He was very excited with how the surgery went and said everything is very clean. He took out less than a pound, I expected more but I guess they weren't very dense. Makes me glad I didn't waste time pursuing insurance coverage as I wouldn't have qualified with that amount.

I had drains for 24 hours, just got back from my post-op where they removed most of the bandages and the drains. They are still pretty swollen and the swelling from the lipo at the sides makes them wider than I expect them to end up.

I'm feeling great and can already tell that my back and neck pain is gone! Marking photos and first post op pictures attached.

I am a 28 year old mother of twin girls. We tried for a third without luck and have decided we are happy with our family of four. That means I can finally get my reduction!

I had small breasts in highschool until my senior year when I went from a small B to a full D and they continued to grow from there. At the height of breastfeeding I was wearing a 32J and afterwards was left with a set of deflated balloons. I've started to experience consistent back and neck pain and decided I'd like to have the surgery. My mother had it 20 years ago and is glad she did (despite less than ideal results).

I consulted with 3 PSs:
1. Tried to convince me not to reduce and just lift, said I'd be a DD which was not my goal. When I asked for a C he said he'd do it but "didn't like to do ugly."
2. Liked him, his before and afters looked great and he made me feel comfortable.
3. Would only do the lollipop method, doesn't recommend anchor except for very large reductions. None of her before and afters looked like something I wanted to end up with.

So #2 it is! Surgery is one week away :)

Insurance likely won't cover due to removal weight requirements so I'm paying out of pocket.
